Palin Endorses Hoffman = Huge Donation Increase
Citizen Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 10/23/2009 9:48:12 AM PDT by MaxCUA

Ed Morrissey, of Hotair.com, has just reported Doug Hoffman’s campaign is having a huge influx of donations all within hours of Gov Palin's Facebook posting. Governor Palin made the post at 8:35 pm and in less then 10 hours his campaign contributions have nearly doubled. Funny how the left keeps screaming she is irrelevant.

Just how effective has Sarah Palin’s intervention in the NY23 special election been? Douglas Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate that got Palin’s endorsement, raised $116,000 in a single day, according to a source within the campaign. The source told me to refer back to Chris Cillizza’s coverage of the race at the Washington Post blog The Fix, which noted that Hoffman had raised $210,000 … over the course of a week.

GO SARAH GO!

We must support and elect constitutional candidates whom we know beforehand will take their oath to the constitution seriously and fufill that oath, and who are committed wholly to stand on and support constitutional principle.

When WE, the citizens and voters of this nation insist on that course of action ourselves, in large numbers, we will inact change.

That is what is happening with Sarah and others who are supporting Hoffman...and it is what MUST happen with each of us. It will force the GOP back to the constitution, and back to its own platform for Heaven's sake.

When we do, the right candidates and the right parties will rise to the top like cream rises to the top of fresh milk because we will have insisted and forced it to be so.

The FR sanctioned:

RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION EFFORT

which is an FR Alliance web site, is about precisely that. Please join us, and a lot of other FREEPERS there, as we work together and identify and support candidates dedicated to doing precisely that at all levels.

Yup - she is taking on "The Machine" - and the donations show them that she DOES have muscle.
Just as good is a sitting Republican member of Congress endorsing Hoffman against the Machine's chosen one - pray for Michele Bachman 'cause she's gonna' need it now - Steele cannot be happy with her endorsement of Hoffman.

I don’t think she’ll run in 2012, but she will be the kingmaker. Envision Huckabee, Romney, Pawlenty, Guiliani, et al, all polling around 15 ~ 20 percent. Whichever one Palin endorses, wins.

Let's pray you are wrong in your prognastication.

Given the alternatives you mentioned, let's pray she is wise enough, selfless enough, strong enough to make the choice to run for POTUS.

I for one know she is wise and strong and selfless enough, let's just hope she makes the right choice for the good of America.

We need to show the RNC that backing conservatives pays off.

Just under two weeks to go, Palin’s endorsement and the money it attracts just may make the difference.

I’ve tried to donate three days this week and something is wrong with their web site. It will not take debt/credit cards that work elsewhere on line & at stores.

Actually, in her own way she made them all irrelevant with her spine of steele this week.. read Josh Painter’s editorial on his blog site this morning, gives a lot to chew on, including the fact Pawlenty admitted he knew nothing about this race in NY23.

Of course, this probably means KOS and Move-on will start a major fund raising effort for the democrat in the race

It wouldn’t surprise me if they do. Democrats have not held this seat in well over 100 years.

In the unlikely event that your scenario is correct, I can see her appearing on stage with Richard Pryor to endorse “None of the Above” ala Brewster’s Millions.

Then we could just hear Obama saying, “were in the business of being in business, to do business”

Bachmann, and now as well.

I don’t think that is where she wants to go. She certainly won’t be supporting any of the names you mentioned. Did you read her facebook post endorsing Hoffman? She is trying to rally the troops to tell the GOP leadership that principles matter. That Republicans have to stand up as a principled alternative to the Democrats, not just go along to get along.

Precisely. A Hoffman victory (which I believe is achievable) would send a very powerful message. Even Hoffman finishing well ahead of Scozzafava would be a wakeup call. In that case, conservatives could make the case that Scozzafava took votes away from the Conservative, and that without her, the Conservative could have won.

That is why I think this race is so important. If the conservative comes in last, conservatives will be further marginalized within the GOP. I hope that doesn’t happen. That is why I support Hoffman.

Tea Party Patriots
I believe you are correct. This is the first time that the TEA Partiers and 9-12ers have tried to flex their muscles and show that they have real power. I hope it works out for us.
Arizona Carolyn wrote:

They already are heavily involved in this race. The Democrat is way ahead of even Hoffman in fundraising. I think he may have surpassed Hoffman and Scozzafava combined at some points. We are playing catch up on the funding, though Palin’s endorsement is helping that.

Has everyone seen this: “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.

There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.

Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

More threads ...

I support Doug Hoffman for Congress (PayPal).

Please, spread the word about this important election on November 3, 2009 in New York’s 23rd congressional district.
