Richland, WA — Sarah Palin is taking a Thanksgiving break from her book tour to spend time with family in Washington and join a 5K run to benefit the Red Cross.
Palin detailed her plans Wednesday on Twitter:
“Leaving Florida to meet family from Texas/Alaska/Washington. We run in Red Cross charity 5k race tmrrw in Richland b4 Thanksgiving dinner” & "Much 2 b thankful 4 as Americans, most free people on earth! More opportunity 4 happiness/health/prosperity thx to our liberating Constitution,"
About 25 Palin relatives had registered for the annual Turkey Trot on Thursday at Kennewick's Columbia Park, said Heather Filbin of the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross. About 2,300 people had pre-registered, with 3,000 runners expected to take part in the fundraiser.
Palin plans to have dinner at the Richland home of her aunt Katie Johnson, a sister of Palin's mother. She intends to resume her book tour Sunday, signing copies of "Going Rogue" at a book store in Richland. Palin's grandparents, Clem and Helen Sheeran, came to Richland in 1943 so he could work at the Hanford nuclear reservation. etc..
Americans were freer before the Constitution was created and ratified. The Constitution has represented a steady and consistent LOSS of freedom since it was ratified.
Sarah donates her time to the Red Cross. Meanwhile, I don’t see liberals getting involved in helping. I thought liberals were all about helping out their fellow man, yet I don’t see them doing a damn thing. Sarah is just amazing, she has had such a busy two weeks but still has time to help others. She really is inspirational
and what other country with a constitution or NO constitution has done better? No constitution? One country, show me one nation that has done it.
We would have been better off without it.
What would you substitute instead?
And just think, before the Constitution, there was no national gubmint. Just a Continental Congress with extremely limited power. Go read the articles of confederation and ponder what we gave up. And for what?

Yes the Constitution limits our freedoms but you gotta have some limits. No one is complaining about a too-strict Constitution.
If the Articles of Confederation were so great, why did representatives of the states meet after only six years to fix them?
Some wanted a strong central government, some didn’t. You can decide for yourself who was correct. I’ve made up my mind.

UH,seems like all the ways to deal with arguments among the states were pretty well ‘handled” by our constitution...of course, if you want states to start seceding, ...
we pay for lack of anarchy and strong defense and inter related economy...with a Fed govt.
It is silly to argue that the problem with govt intrusion can be laid at the feet of the govt...NO , that belongs to the morons who elect our houses of reps.

We don't have a Federal government. We have a NATIONAL government. That's why it says "We the People", not "We the States." People are taught "We the people" is a good thing but it's not. The Constitution created a national monster that has grown and grown and grown consistently and predictably. That's what Hamilton and his crowd wanted. I can't figure out if Madison was lying or stupid.
Why attack the man rather than discuss his ideas and deeds?

Tell us what we need to do to eliminate this oppression. Explain what the oppression and make sure you explain how it is related to the Constitution.
