This is probably the best and most frightening analysis of our current political situation that I've ever read. It's a long post, but well worth your time. I suspect once you get started reading it, you'll be hooked like I was. As the author states, the only options which explain the way that our ruling class is currently acting will make your blood run cold.

Its come to the point that all the logical thinking people are having to apologize to themselves for not rendering more support to the Birch Society.
(the rest continue spewing their illogic)

“Democrats, Democrat party officials, and the government controlled media chose to deliberately insult and attack citizens who accepted what was in fact the invitations of the Congress-Critters to attend Town Hall meetings, and who dared to ask real questions and insist on answers. This was followed by the White House insisting that the Left push back against those citizens.
“Shortly thereafter Democrat Congress-Critters started having ACORN and SEIU security forces at these events.
“Citizens were threatened, blocked out, and eventually physically assaulted. The assailants, it seems, have judicial immunity.”
WHERE HAVE WE SEEN THIS BEFORE?

Something about jackboots and spiffy uniforms comes to mind.

Well, that certainly is a good question. What do the politicians know that we don’t? How do they plan to kick and insult the voters repeatedly for a year and more, and then remain in office?

Not only have I read it. I am going to copy it to my iPhone so I can study it at leisure later.
This needs serious consideration and discussion.

A frightening editorial.
If this is anywhere near accurate, the government is too corrupt to change through the voting booth.
It will need to be overthrown by civil disobedience.
Either peaceful or voilent. More likely some of both.

I’m not that old, but I’ve never seen or heard of anything quite like it; at least in a “democracy”. Now if you look at tyrannical governments around the world, this kind of behavior is quite common.

The key sentence:
They do not intend to lose power, and indeed are expanding their power. My gut sense has been what was written -- that ACORN will manipulate the election results so that Hussein and the Rats stay in power no what what.

"
How do they plan to kick and insult the voters repeatedly for a year and more, and then remain in office?" I take it that's a rhetorical question?

A democracy is about the most tyrannical form of government that can exist. The truth is not mallable in a voting booth.

Yes. But no doubt there are a lot of people haven’t considered the possibilities.
As I recall, the title of this piece and its recurring theme, that when you eliminate the impossible, what remains must be taken seriously, however improbable, was often the working presumption of Sherlock Holmes.
It does seem impossible that the Dems could be stupid enough to deliberately throw themselves out of office.

We live under an oligarchy; frankly the Dem-Repub political theme is merely an exercise of the “Good Cop-Bad Con”. The Dems do what the Pubbies dream about.
The real game is DC-vs America..and DC cannot win once the Flyover Country is clear about the game. DC survives as long as Flyover Country believes the con.

It's definitely worth the read. I would have agreed with the article in Nov 2008, but now there is no question.
The comments are also interesting.
