I think...a great move on her part. HUGE audience; major league exposure. It’s time America gets to really know Palin, and this is one heck of a bully pulpit.

Kudos, FNC.

Maybe when Sarah gets her show there will be a daily thread — The Alaskan Vixen -— much like the Rush, Beck, dailies for a lot of these items.

Fox made more bucks than all 3 networks, cnn, msnbc combined
in 2009 700 million clear.
With Sarah they will double that.

Who are we to second guess Sarah Palin? She has always made the right move weather at the time we agreed with her or not. Go back to when she announced she was stepping down as Governor, many here on FR said that's it for her, she is history, her star has faded. And look where she is today, best selling book of 2009 of draws crowds by the thousands everywhere she goes. I can't think of any person in politics that can do that outside of the President himself, and his fans are shrinking.

I’m not sure about this. I was hoping she would run fo Prez, and she still might. I thought she was doing a good job of staying fairly out of the fray but still able to express her viewpoints, and bash the Zer0.

Would this, and her Facebook, give her too much exposure before 2012? If she’s going to give her opinion, much like Dennis Miller or Karl Rove then fine, but I would hate her to stoop to the level of having to ‘debate’ liberal clowns.

Personally, I think more exposure would be a good thing!

I don’t think Sarah is going to do a show. She is signed on as a contributor, so probably she will do a segment. It looks like maybe it will be on O’Reilly, which is the top rated cable news show. 5 minutes a day or three times a week would be perfect, along with participating in various panel discussions. Kind of like when Ronald Reagan did radio commentaries for years before running in 1980.

I took a day for me to think of why she is doing this, and it hearkens back to her book.

Her work ethic.

She took semesters off to earn enough to pay for school. Those days are gone for her, but this opportunity arose and she is taking advantage of it, consistant with that work ethic in her late teens and twenties. It will allow her the flexibilty to still be a mom. Win @ home. Win IMHO.

From what I understand she’s signed on to appear on the BOR show. Is that correct? If so it’s a shame...even seeing Sarah isn’t enough to get me to watch that gaseous windbag.

Correct and I agree, O’Reilly appears to be full of himself. Do you think he’s fair and balanced?

Here is a partial bio on Roger Ailes. It’s not complete, but the reference him being a “pit-bull” republican, plus his help with President Ronald Reagan is very interesting. Greta did those interviews with Sarah and had tremendous ratings. Every time she’s on tv the ratings skyrocket (even Oprah, the best ratings in 3 years).

"In particular, Evans reveals the profound influence of GE executive Lemuel Boulware, who would become Reagan's political and ideological mentor. Boulware, known for his tough stance against union officials and his innovative corporate strategies to win over workers, championed the core tenets of modern American conservatism-free-market fundamentalism, anticommunism, lower taxes, and limited government. Building on the ideas and influence of Boulware, Reagan would soon begin his rise as a national political figure and an icon of the American conservative movement.
