..former Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr has found God at nearly 70 years of age.
This was revealed in a story written by Ben Todd who said, John Lennon caused a worldwide storm by claiming that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus.
Now, more than four decades on, it seems his former bandmate Ringo Starr has acknowledged a humbler place in the grand scheme of things.

He is the ultimate multitasker, always there for whoever turns to Him, never too busy for us.
But who are you to make that assumption? He’s been married to the same woman for decades. Maybe it tell me something about you?
Let’s just say, I am just sceptical of people who spend a big part of their lives living contrary Christian principles, but then turn round and âdiscover Christâ when they are put in jail or when they are too old to be doing much sinning.
Praise God that this prodigal son has come home.
Good for you, Ringo...very VERY wise decision you’ve made. Walk with your Lord...you’ll NOT regret this decision!
Good for him. May God bless him.
Oh no:
Matthew 10:
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Fathers will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Ringo was very important to God, as we all are.
At least for people who are in jail, I think it is a rock bottom place. In jail, it may be, that God has the ability to “speak” and you have no choice but to hear. The same situation may hold for people as they get older. The soul has time to hear.
I think you missed his point. You should read the post again.
Yes, you are right.
Maybe he can now change his pagan name to something Christian, like. say, Richard.
The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the greatest gifts God has opened my eyes to. And He did it again today:
My confessor exhorted to be a peacemaker, instead of focusing so much on winning an argument. In the 15-20 minutes before Mass, I opened up my bible, stopping first at Psalm 51, one of my favorites. Then I flipped over to the Book of Matthew, and came across the Beatitudes: blessed are the peacemakers.... WHAM!!!!
Talk about having a great day!!!
When people tell you that, "I feel far from God," or that, "God just doesn't seem to hear me."
The answer is: God never moved, He's here all the time. It's only we who move away from God. He waits for us to need to "find" Him again.
That usually happens when some decision or other we've made (without direction from God) produces much pain, misery or total collapse for us; we turn to God and ask, "How could you cause 'that' happen (to me)?"
His answer, "Sometimes you want your own way so badly, that I allow you to have it."
It's during those times, generally, that we "find our way back to God" and realize that He has been there all of the time waiting for us to look for Him.
If we look for Him, we always find Him.
I agree. Nicely said.
Gasp! I'm stuned, I tell ya! Stuned!
P.S.- All’s forgiven. It’s the least I can do in celebrating Starr’s conversation...
Might consider that God uses people’s failings, going to jail, divorce, drug addictions, etc to get their attention. Sometimes people have to hit bottom before they will listen.
Conversion even! ;-)
LOL!!!
That’s what I get for waking up at 2:00 AM!!!!
How fitting!!!
