Explosive information hit the radio airwaves today as it was revealed that Texas gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina appeared to confirm in an interview that she is a so-called '9/11 truther.' The interview was conducted by Glenn Beck on the radio.

Immediately the Internet was burning up with quick responses both from Medina supporters and from those who jumped to the conclusion that the candidate had 'outed' herself as part of a movement which believes that the U.S. government had a hand in bringing about the terrorist attack on 9/11.

Nobody set her up. She had a bad interview that will allow her to be pushed to the sidelines much like Palin’s interview with Couric took some of the momentum out of her candidacy.
He tricked her? Doesn’t sound like that’s very hard to do!

I didn’t watch the interview, but I wonder if Medina is even aware of the Truther movement and maybe got confused with the Birther movement?

Yes, he sure did set her up, if by “set her up” you mean he gave her a chance to air her views toa large national audience.

I was shocked at her "non-answer" that sounded exactly like a politician.
Sure he did. Of course I still can’t figure out how he made those words come out of her mouth but I’m sure the Truthers have an explanation for it. Maybe he can mimic other voices. That must be it. He threw his voice and he was the one who said Truthers had reasonable questions rather then give a simple NO! response to the question.
Of course he set her up. After all, he’s a CIA plant according to Alex Jones. </sarc>
She gave an answer one might expect to hear from some Libertarians.
I heard it. He asked her “are you a 911 truther” first, and when she waffled he asked her directly if she thought that the US Government was responsible for 3,000 American deaths on 9/11. She waffled for 5 minutes. Beck sounded surprised at first and then tried to get a straight yes or no. IMHO he was right that she just sent herself back down to a 4% approval rating. Setup? No. Is she someone that I would want as a Tea Party style canidate? NO WAY.
Glenn Beck is such a megalomaniacal narcissist, OF COURSE he “set” her up — Glenn the Blowhard will do ANYTHING to be the Center Of Attention, whatever is surprising about this????
America has sat through the 911 Video’s many times.
We have all watched the planes fly into the buildings. We have seen the fires, the damage, the huge clouds of smoke.
How can anyone still be stupid enough to believe the planes and the fires did not bring down the buildings?
