The Glenn Beck/Debra Medina Sucker Punch
CFP ^ | 2/15/10 | Bob Parks

Posted on 02/15/2010 9:21:06 AM PST by pissant

Let’s say I had a television show and I asked a political candidate some questions regarding, let’s say, about the other entrenched lifer candidates, local issues, state and federal issues, the Constitution, and then asked if he or she believed Babe Ruth was really black or if Barack Obama was really a United States citizen or if there was a 9/11 conspiracy.

Let’s say an answer was given I didn’t like. Would that alone disqualify me from holding public office?

I will admit, I did like some of the things Beck’s said over the last year on Fox News and previous years on radio, but he may have just shown us just how full of himself he really is.

Personally, I’d like to see some new blood running Texas. Rick Perry straddled the bonehead fence when he started talking about secession, Kay Bailey Hutchinson appears to feel she’s entitled to the governorship after many flaky years in the US Senate.

And while we’re at it, let’s talk conspiracy.

Sarah Palin is now a Beck compadre at Fox News. Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry. Debra Medina was surging in the polls. Beck throws a beanball at Medina in an attempt to knock her out of the race. How ironic it would be that liberals could use a Glenn Beck audio clip to take out a Republican.

I’ve already made my views (then doubts) about Beck known when I saw him pandering to black Republicans on a weekend show, complete with jungle-looking graphics, trying to come off as a potential savior who understands. I’ve never bought his crying like a pussy, and I’ve rejected every attempt he’s made to make himself a 9/12, tea party grand poohbah.

The Third Terrorist, a book authored by Jayna Davis, is not fictional.

That's not the official government story! You must be a crypto-communist, Obama loving, blame-America-first troofer!

BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT! It's good for you!

Funny how even conservatives in the NW want someone in the border states to stop illegal aliens invading.

And you honestly think Debra Medina has what it takes to do that? LOL

Debra Medina is nothing more than the Paulbots' attempt to get one of their own advanced to an executive position.

Do you think for minute Medina intends to be tough on illegal immigration?

Do you get that from her radio ads in Spanish or her desire to legalize drugs?

We need to keep those drugs illegal to protect the insane profits of those cartels and criminals that smuggle the stuff.

She supports the border fence. That’s alot more than RINO A or RINO B right there.

She is a Republican as far as I can tell. She’s running as one...against two democrats, as far as I can tell.

Well, I follow all issues regarding illegal aliens closer than 99.9% of the population. And I follow politics about as much as humanly possible. And KBH is less than worthless while Perry is Charlie Crist in cowboy boots.

Those kooky libertarians and their talk about “property rights”, “natural rights”, “liberty”, “freedom”, “shrinking government” and other crazy ideas! They don’t belong in the GOP!

A truther is definitely a RINO.

Believing the police in New York who died in the 9/11 attack may not have died - but instead may have involved in some complicated plot is not now and never has been a Republican position.

That makes her a RINO.

No he didn’t — she had about as much chance of being governor of Texas as did Kinky last time around!!
This is nothing more than a distraction .. Rick Perry will be governor for another 4 years...only real question is whether or not Kay Bailey will go back to the senate or resign as she has said she will once she loses the primary!

Only establishment-approved people belong in the GOP. Kooks that actually believe in smaller government and freedom need not apply.

Amazing how a candidate can expose kookery in her mind (she spoke the words, Glenn put nothing in her smarmy mouth), on air, enough to make it plain as day that she is unfit to govern a hen house much less a state like the great State of Texas, and worms crawl out to tell us common folk that ‘it doesn’t matter what the politician believes, imagine they will be better than what we see before us’ ... don’t trust your ears, swallow the koolaid!

Even if she had no chance of winning, she could’ve done substantial damage to the Tea Party movement if it had truly thrown its weight behind her. A candidate like that can derail an otherwise good movement ...

I agree that Perry was likely going to win regardless — but I think Medina could’ve done quite a bit of damage had she made much more headway.

Perhaps you are a better judge of people than Sarah Palin, Michael Reagan, Bill Bennett and the NRA.

Or maybe not.

And Beck is calling Obama a communist (which he is) who associated deeply with Bill Ayers (which he did) who with his buddies (according to Larry Grathwahl) planned for the execution of 25 million Americans who they anticipated would not be successfully “red-educated” in the re-education camps the communists would set up.

Who does Beck think he’s playing with here? If you swallow the whole hog, Beck’s claims that Obama shares the vision of Bill Ayers and has been working toward those goals his whole life...... means that Obama has been figuring he’ll need to kill about 25 million of us.

20,000 to 30,000 Americans (and I’m not sure where your numbers are coming from) is piddles compared with that. Beck doesn’t seem to comprehend the magnitude of what he’s claiming.

But he doesn’t want to be labeled a “conspiracy theorist” so he will throw rocks at somebody who isn’t totally sure what to say about what our government has been up to.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry after reading that.

I am sure more than one person, politician has strategized on how the demise of 25 million of correct people would bring their agenda to fruition so much easier. But honestly, do you really believe that such thoughts are being mapped out and battle lines being drawn up? If so, then I believe that you have a real problem. (I hope I am wrong) We must not confuse America with China; NO President or resident in the case of barry could ever pull something like that off and live to talk about it. The Chinese did not lose freedom, they never had it. We do and God help anyone who thinks they can take it away from America in some catastrophic event. I know it and so do they. Do you?
