“Without the programs theyve enacted, many people would be forced to initiate their own poorly-conceived heists and a lot more people would get hurt.”
LOL - Perfect touch of subtley, John.

Great piece, John. Thanks for the ping.
The Biden “quote” was perfect.
I liked the rest of the stories on that page too.

Not so difficult to understand.
Lots of illegal aliens, have gone home.

Vice-President Joe Biden credits increased government hand-outs for the decline in crime. With trillions in stimulus money floating around, theres less need for ordinary robberies, Biden reasoned. I mean, why take the risk of illegally trying to get into someone elses pocket when theres a legal way to get the same result? LMAO!!! Great work John. Thanks for the ping.

Just read the headline JS.
So does this mean that crime has increased but the reporting of it has declined?

Your investigative reporting has revealed a whole other payoff from the stimulous package. The dems may be upset at you because I suspect they were saving this gem for late October if MSNBC didn't run it on their 24 hour crawl.
Wjy subscribe to the onion when you're here once or twice a week and much more subtle at that. 9.9 and let the Russians take the hindmost!

Don't steal, the government doesn't like the competition.
Crime goes down when they lock up career criminals for longer periods of time. Then they could have been hierarchical counting the crimes, only the most serious offense is counted, the rest discarded. In a robery/rape/murder case only the murder is counted. Just lost 2 crimes.

Those that attempt to explain everything using some sort of “Conflict theory,” are ridiculous, and this just substantiates this.
Poverty does not make people into savages, heathens and criminals, it's personal choices and a culture that accepts/permissive or even condones this behavior. Head to W. Texas and you have poverty, yet there is no need to lock your car or home in these small towns. Head into S. Dallas where the per capita income is higher, there are more and better social services for the “self perceived” underdogs and poor, and you really have to fear crime.
The drop in crime is because of rigorous policing, law enforcements ability to fight crime. Better technology in databases, FLIR, night vision...... more police on the streets, a tightening of laws that puts scumbags away for longer etc........ The problem is that the drop in crime is because of the threat of force, the fear of being caught, and the severity of the consequences that follow. However, when the systems enforcing this law fail as in Los Angeles or more recently New Orleans, chaos reign. The vermin will rape, pillage and burn.
