The Real Reason Obama, Dems Desperately Push Healthcare Bill
Conservative Examiner ^ | 2/20/2010 | Anthony G. Martin

In the frenzied push to pass a massive healthcare bill that will change the U.S. healthcare system from top to bottom, Americans were told that such a plan was needed to address untold suffering on the part of the uninsured and to reign in the skyrocketing costs of medical care.

Even the Democrats and Barack Obama, however, could not manage to approve a bill in spite of the fact that they held a super-majority in both the Senate and the House, and thus, could basically do whatever they pleased.

In the meantime, after an entire year of the constant rehashing of the proposal the American people came to the conclusion that they did not want the program the Administration and Congress were pushing.

wake up conservatives and especially republicans who are in a haze of false triumph since the election of scott brown.

government takeover of the healthcare market must be stopped or you add the heaviest shackle so far to your collection of them.

Hmmm.. Why are the Dems so damn persistent about passing this? PROGRESSIVISM.. One more step towards full Government control of every aspect of our lives. The Dems may win this one, but they’ll surely LOSE control of Congress later this year, and the White House in 2012. Jobs SHOULD BE the TOP PRIORITY, not health care. Furthermore, health care needs reform, not government takeover. Bye bye Dems in 2010.

Exactly and is exactly why we need to starve the brest of what it wants. We can no longer pay people to sit on their duff or offer unending unemployemnt to all. America is broke. It is going to hurt but in the long run it is the only way to save America.

there ARE NO benefits....at least scheduled until 2014(and IMHO..there NEVER will be any benefits whatsoever paid) ...this is a TAX BILL...(retroactive to January 01, 2010) and it is critical to the fall elections...without it...they haven’t the cash to put on the street for the balance of the “stimulus” packaged they need to GOTV with ACORN and SEIU

The tax revenue will be used to offset the massive deficit as a tactic to get Obama re-elected.

In reality, it will drive our economy further down into morass.

Perhaps the worst part of the Obamacare bill are its provisions that will prevent the rescinding of any part of it by a future president and/or congress.

“The government needs the money. By creating a massive new government bureaucracy needed to manage a government-run system, tax increases are already built into the measure to provide for the funding.”

[But the other reason is they want healthcare before amnesty which would make amnesty more expensive, and as Rush always says, healthcare could become a new third rail for rats to flail the GOP with.]

Cut them off. I predict I will feel no pain whatsoever.

The answer is clear and no one is reporting it. The government needs the money.

You got it! And everybody will be in *the system*. Pay up, or go to jail.

Details? This couldn't possibly stand. It couldn't even be floated. It would guarantee a revolution.

The Obamacare bill would establish an enormous bureaucracy which, once established and staffed, would be well-nigh impossible to undo.

That's not the same thing as expressly forbidding the process laid out in the constitution to make and change law, which is what your post suggested.

The giant bureaucracy that defines Obamacare will hugely expand the SEIU, which will further burden the tax system and at the same time create a permanent voting block for the Democrat party.
