That's just the easiest, most convenient explanation. This guy was Sec of State in a Republican administration during the thick of the WOT.
I'm sorry, but ascribing his support of Obama to race is just too pat an answer. I suspect there's more. This isn't some liberal simpleton like Harry Belafonte we're talking about here.
And, for him to appear on television at this late date, when the good ship Obama is sinking, and claim that he "has no regrets whatsoever", is more than a little bizarre.
Either the man is a first class moron who happens to speak well, or there's something much more sinister going on here.
