As you will immediately notice "our guys" tend to be at the bottom of the list ~ that's because one of the consequences of an election is you lose your Senatorial foghorn position and kind of slip off into the oblivion due a loser.

I don't know that we can influence the elections, but Senator Carper announced he wasn't running again not too long after my initial proposal which used him as an example.
So, maybe we can influence something.
