...Now don’t weep for this weasel, he is connected as high as they can go. His father is Mike Kernell, a longtime Tennessee State Representative, and a democrat, of course. More importantly though, David, who is a student at the University of Tennessee appears to have ties to the highest levels of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign...

I predict that nothing will ever come of this. (I hope I’m wrong if the kid is guilty.)

And it was all due to a simple flaw in the Yahoo Account password backup system, and also in many other online account systems. When setting up an account, you are asked some very basic questions about yourself such as “what was your first school”, “what kind of a car do you own”, etc. Now anyone, and especially someone in the public eye, or someone with a recognizable e-mail name, ought to know you don’t answer these very basic questions about yourself truthfully. Yahoo doesn’t care if the answers are truthful or not. They don’t check. It is simply a device set up to help you in the event you forget your password. The ‘answers’ could just be a string of random characters. (you apparently have no choice but to set up the password backup feature when opening an account)

What happened to the word “expected” in the head line. This was rather misleading wouldn’t you say.

I am pretty sure the kid is guilty. However if he is convicted, the chances he wil get a stiff sentence are probably very low. Probation is the likely sentence.

Pretty cheap for all the damage he has done.

Okay attorneys, is this enough to do discovery on this punks email to see if he was working for Obama to dig up dirt on palin? Can his email be searched?

I don’t think so. I think he serves time. He will be made an example of. If he gets probation then they will be flooded with cases of every punk kid trying to hack an elected officials email account. No my guess is 3 years, 5 probation, out in 18 months.

I don’t see any difference between someone on Obama’s campaign team hacking her e-mail account, and the Watergate break in.

Except one is a big fat “so-what” joke to the liberals, and the other is the most grievous act ever committed during an election, - worth bringing together the highest paid actors of the day and making blockbuster movie over.

Here’s a great archive link to Terry Frank’s site. She has David Kernell’s Facebook pages before they were taken down.
