Apparently the Girl Scouts have decided to modernize their age-old motto: Be Prepared. “The World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a no-adults-welcome panel at the United Nations this week where Planned Parenthood was allowed to distribute a brochure entitled ‘Healthy, Happy and Hot,’” Terrence McKeegan of the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute reported on March 11, 2010. “The event was part of the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) which concludes this week.”
“The brochure, aimed at young people living with HIV, contains explicit and graphic details on sex, as well as the promotion of casual sex in many forms.”
“Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse,” the brochure claims, “But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex.”...

Large organizations need to beware of the agenda of innocuous or noble-sounding associations. Especially youth organizations like GS
So they put “anal” intercourse on the same level as “vaginal” intercourse? And, the clear tone is that we’re very closed minded if we don’t understand about all the other forms of sex out there??????

As with Boy Scouts the US organziation of GS is not so liberal as the europeans, and mostly operates our troops with volunteers who reflect the community the leaders and parents and girls come from. A San Francisco troop might have a lesbian leader, and parents OK with that. But most do not and are not. Anyone who thinks their DD’s troop leader is unacceptable for nay reason, is free to start a new troop. Most of us do and have and run them on shoe strings.
OMG, if I had a girl, I would never let her be a girl scout.

Well then, never let your future daughter engage in or patronize any activity sponsored by the Lions Club, Kiwanis, Rotary Clubs, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Bank of America, Disney, Johnson and Johnson, or others that share the taint of association with the radicalism of “Planned Parenthood”

Yawn; it was all to be expected actually. The society will be divided into at a minimum, two camps. The “religious” on the one hand and the Gay agenda groups on the other with the Public Schrools promoting the Gay/Anti-Christian (GAC) agenda. Intersting thing about this is that there are other “Orthodox” Religious groups such as the Muslims who will naturally be opposed to the GAC bunch. It’s ironic in that the Orthodox Christians and the Orthodox Muslims will find themselves having more in common with one another than they do with secular U.S. American society.
You will note that Girl Scout councils have recently undergone a reorganization nationally into more regionally based councils, rather than continuing the hundreds of smaller, more locally based councils, and you are unlikely to find current membership figures for the Girl Scouts available online, or information which would help you see the membership trends. The Girl Scouts have also had to shift toward relying more on professional Scouts to organize and lead troops. There is a huge difference between a mother-led, homegrown troop in a locally run council and what exists today in many places, and I would bet the membership figures, which must be shaped and maintained for large donor contribution/grant needs, reflect this current reality. What really changed first, however, was our society itself, and this featured article continues to reflect that, so don’t target the Girl Scouts especially - mothers went to work, children went to day care and began to be able to choose from more organized activity choices a week for after school activities, and the professional Girl Scouts in the organization themselves went from True Believers living on barely-existing pay to professional level expectations. My bet is that many Boy Scout councils face the same thing. Lose the local people and the parents who have a real connection to and a love for the children they know out of a youth organization and you are likely to wind up a very different organization influencing children.
Most of the orgs you listed are errosive to american culture, and Christianity in particular. - There are no benign orgs anymore. Either you work for the problem, or you work for the solution. - It's a parent's responsibility to do the digging to find out.

I find it hard to believe that’s been adopted throughout mainstream Muslim society.
I don’t think even a majority of Iranians agree with that, its what their leaders approve of. Its what the Imams and the Sheiks believe in and a large minority of Muslims.
I also do not think they all agree with it. But they have power and they have influence.
