How can we convince the Pope to excommunicate the Catholics who voted for ObamaCare?

Same goes for Harry Reid and the President of the LDS, etc. Should we start a petition or what? How can Speaker Nancy Pelosi claim to be a Catholic in good standing? Your suggestions and input would be welcomed.

You can convince the Pope with your pocketbook.
If the church’s hierarchy sees large numbers of faithful Catholics withholding donations in protest of this- the Pope might well take action.

The Catholic Bishops should have come out enmasse and condemned any and all Reps and Senators who would vote against a bill containing any language that would open the door for taxpayers to fund abortion! Excommunication SHOULD HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED!

Excommunated would be great, but I would prefer to see several hours of whacks on the nuckles from an angry nun.

I have heard that the Catholic Church opposes abortion. Perhaps we will find out for sure?

So what if they’re excommunicated. What does that do to them? They’re Godless anyway.
To: princess leah
They should have, but they didn’t.
Wasn’t there a threat to excomm Juan Carlos of Spain for approving an abortion law there?
There just seems to be enough talk, but not much action on the part of the Catholic Church on this.
To: crosshairs
They are automatically excommunicated...when they take Holy Communion it is Spiritual Suicide!
To: crosshairs
If they are excommunicated, they can’t use the church as a prop for their campaigns like Mr. Kerry did in 2004 and they can’t say that they are “catholic” either.
When they die, they won’t have a Catholic funeral where a priest will eulogize them as well.

has anyone seen the pope or cardinals do their job in the last 30 years????

Time to require more spine of local Bishops and Cardinals. Don’t expect Cardinal Mahony to expel local Catholic mayors and Hollywood’s cafeteria Catholics. We need to petition the Pope to remove liberal bishops and cardinals.

Someone should get the names of people like me who went to Catholic grade school & high school and left the church because they do not teach the parish what is right & wrong and stand against evil. There are so many Catholics who are pro-abortion, pro-gay.... and no one explains from the pulpit what is right & wrong. I know there are many ex-Catholics like myself, but the church is afraid of losing people and money, rather than worrying about people’s souls.

Notre Dame had Christians arrested for protesting abortion. Rome cares more about illegal aliens.

The Pope, et al, should excommunicate every, single one of them. Let's see if any of them has the nuggets to do it.

They are more interested in money and power than in doing God’s work.
