A House of Commons investigation into the bogus climate data put out by the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) found the practices “well within the norms for university-based research.”
“Cooking the numbers in order to ensure continued grant funding is a common technique in the world of academia,” the House of Commons’ Science and Technology Committee report said. “To single out Professor Jones and his fellow climate researchers would impose a higher standard on them than is applied to others in the academic community.”
The report said “demands that government-funded scientists be immune to the temptations of greed and personal interest is naïve. In movies scientists may save the world. In reality, though, their looking out for ‘number one’ is what we should anticipate.”

It's common and proper that they lie to us for more money and for control of the populace

Excusing egregiously bad behavior, and rewarding that bad behavior with still more cash, is not the way to root out the problem.
The problem is, these “scientists” are blowing smoke, and accomplish no REAL study of what constitutes either “global warming” or “global cooling”.
And why is either instance “bad” for either the earth or humanity? The earth has gone through much longer cycles and restored itself to a semblance of ecological balance at each point in the cycle. The Lord in His wisdom endowed human beings (well, SOME of them, at least) with the capability for reasoning and adapting to changing conditions.
These “scientists” and their enablers, the remarkably uninquisitive members of Parliament, give charlatans a bad name.
Did they review the computer programming that adjusted for inconvenient truth?
Nah! This seems to focus on only the e-mails.
It's a good way to spend some quality time in the pokey if you are in the private economy.

Whatever furthers the agenda of the Statists is A-OK with the Statists.
And, by the way, they are using a straw-man argument.
No one cares what they did for their “funding.”
What we care about is the draconian controls they are helping to institute that will oppress business and civil liberties.
