Beck has played right into Obama’s hand. I don’t know anything about Coulter but I know that neither Rush nor Hannity have played so completely into Obama’s hand.
I’ve enjoyed listening to Beck in the past, when he’s had things to talk about that he was knowledgeable on. But he needs to learn to shut up about things he’s ignorant about. I’ve always said that an ignorant voter is dangerous, and the same is true about an ignorant commentator who has ignorant followers who won’t even recognize that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
That’s the danger that Beck poses. The same communist lawlessness that Beck decries now that Obama is in office is the communist lawlessness that put Obama into place. The facts of this issue need to be given a fair hearing - without the ridicule, giggling, or the “I’m too cool to be like you” junior high crap that’s been going on.
The truth of the matter is that the Hawaii DOH has confirmed, in two different ways through official communications, that the Factcheck COLB is a forgery. The best Hawaii has for documentation on Obama doesn’t qualify as prima facie evidence and probably, in fact, brings his claim of a Hawaii birth into serious question instead (which is why he posted a forgery rather than his amended COLB).
That’s the elephant in the room, and folks like Glenn Beck want to laugh and giggle about those who recognize the fact that it’s there. It raises serious questions about whether Beck is in this for real or just for a good laugh or show.
