In order to encourage a true conservative with grass roots appeal to enter the political arena, I've started a Herman Cain Facebook group. In his now-famous debate with Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy said that there are many roads to the presidency. I'm hoping one of those roads runs through Morehouse College, Purdue University, Pillsbury and its holdings, and WSB 750 Atlanta!
If you support Herman and would like to see him launch a campaign in 2011, please join and show your support. His speech from yesterday's Atlanta Tea Party is also available for viewing there. Thanks!

I like to see a Palin/Cain Ticket and then watch the alphabet heads explode as they try and cover it! ;-)
It would be the most energetic duo we’ve seen in quite a long time, politically speaking. Even as good as Reagan was, he had dour H.W. with him. Cain and Palin would bring it on a daily basis.
He is one scrappy guy, I’m good with that ticket. Or Cain/Palin, either way works for me.
Agreed... I wouldn’t be too picky as to who was on the top of that ticket. I would proudly campaign for them, and it’s been a long time since I’ve actively worked a campaign.
It would almost be like watching a WCW tag team!!! ;-)
Except without the near-miss punching and top rope splashes... I’d still be ok with the pyrotechnics, though :D
In this corner is: The KILLER FROM WASILLA AND HER PARTNER ‘RAISING CAIN!”
I’ve never worked on a campaign before. I might be helping out Dr. Dan Benishek. I’m will be meeting him tomorrow at our local tea party.
I forgot to add:
And in the other corner: THE NARCISSIST FROM NAIROBI AND HIS PARTNER THE DELAWARE DOPE!
Ooooo I would love this! I have been listening to Herman Cain for years and voted for him in the Senate race against Isakson. Many say he lost because he was not moderate enough (pro life, etc).
Hermain Cain is a very well-respected, consistent, long-time conservative. He is not a “flash in the pan” or “token black” as some might here might have you think. He is the real deal and he is a Great American.
He has a very smooth voice on the radio, I was shocked when I heard him speak the first time because he really fires people up and he is so dead on with what he says.
He and Palin on a ticket together would be UNBELIEVEABLE. She has the “political” executive experience, he has the “business” executive experience. Both are able to inspire, motivate while still keeping their core values. Of the two my personal opinion is he is the better speaker, but he has a lot more experience at it.
I’m in.
Mr Cain is well known around these parts, but for those who want to read up/listen to him:
Listen to him on WSB: http://wsbradio.com/inside/herman_cain.html
the reality is he has as much chance to be nominee as does 1% Duncan Hunter.
Or Cain/Bachmann
Eh, I’m not so sure. I completely understand the sentiment, I just think Herman really fires people up. If there would ever be a grass roots contender in our age of Party Establishment candidates (see: McCain), I think it might be Herman Cain.
As I said, I’ve been extremely cynical about political races... I campaigned for Lindsey Graham in his first Senate race, and you see how that turned out. But Herman is different. He inspires, but he’s the real thing. Obama inspired the skulls of mush, but he was play acting. Herman does it, and it comes from within. I think people want someone genuine now, and Cain could be that for them.
He’s also been doing a very nice job of getting his name out there strategically... Hannity, other Fox programs, locally. He’ll have the waters sufficiently tested before he chooses to run or not to run.
I disagree. All Herman needs is more national exposure. He will do the rest.
I’ve heard all the other “contenders” speak, they just don’t inspire. I think it takes more than just being a solid conservative, you have to be able to SELL it
Here’s what I see conservatives:
Those who are conservative but aren’t great at selling it (the majority)
Those who can sell it but aren’t conservative (i.e., Romney)
Those who can do both - Cain and Palin can do both. Maybe Bachman
This is not a bad idea. I like him. Oh, it would be so fun watching the MSM with this one. lol
