Hamilton, Ontario - Judi McLeod had the honour to meet former vice-presidential candidate Governor Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd at a sold-out dinner in Hamilton last night.
American friends knowing about the event sent me messages asking me to tell Gov. Palin how much they admire her.
Noting how the former vice-presidential candidate had told the Hamilton crowd that Americans she encounters often mistake her for a Canadian because of her distinctive manner of speech, the Globe and Mail said, People think she talks like us.
I attended the event thinking that perhaps Gov. Palin was getting a little full of herself, but

Don’t get out much, eh Judi?
Sorry to be the sour pickle in the ice cream- but if she pushes McLame into winner’s circle, and OKs Mitt, she is DOA in my book!
Your book doesn’t count newbie.
“Your book doesnt count newbie.”
So what? - it’s my book, and I’m going to keep it!
There are basically two kinds of people when it comes to Palin:
The intellectually lazy who form their opinion based on lies and SNL skits, and those who base their opinion on Palin’s actual words and actions and “get” the fact that she is the real deal.
The first of this group would be the lazy Obamanites that think Government will pay them to sit on their arse and do NOTHJING and the second group is made up of the TRUE Consevatives and the Independents that have their head straight. Sarah IS the "Real Deal"!
Judi is editor of the Canada Free Press online conservative newspaper. They’ve been very fair to Sarah Palin.
“I attended the event thinking that perhaps Gov. Palin was getting a little full of herself, but I was wrong. Sarah Palin could be the most genuine, real politician I ever met.”
I still don’t thing Ms McLeod gets it. Sarah Palin is the most genuine, real PERSON she’s probably ever met who’s also in the political arena. There’s a difference. A VAST difference.
True.

16,000 people came to see her in Louisville, so I doubt she gives a rat's behind if she lost your support.

Well that’s a BIG Weight off my shoulders - thanks for the insight!
I think you take the easy way out and pingeon hole those of us who have legitimate concerns. I “get” Palin. We are near perfectly aligned politically. I think she is a fantastic lady. But I am very sad that she is the best we have to offer. All the other candidates are damaged goods. I like Romney but he’s flip-flopped. The Huckster is a joke. Newt is a fabulous well-educated speaker, but there’s this picture of him sitting with Pelosi.. he has no chance. And then there are the evil SOBs hiding in the Republican party who nominated McCain in ‘08 when NO CONSERVATIVE endorsed him. Where and who are those people and what do they have in store for us in 2012? If Palin could speak like Newt she could be the next Reagan, but she can’t and I am very worried about her negatives. Obama can win in 2012. Unless we find someone who can whip him bad in a debate with facts on their side, I worry the country could be lost.
