Patton: "Mark, you magnificent bastard! I read your book."

The NY Daily News headline screamed:

Tea Party leader Mark Williams says Muslims worship a 'monkey god', blasts Ground Zero mosque

Heh. Tea Party Express chairman and radio talk show host Mark Williams didn't pull any punches when he wrote that Muslims worship a "monkey god" in a blogpost protesting the proposed mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan.

The post is password protected at his site MarkTalk.com, (in a clever bit of marketing, you have to own or purchase Mark's book "Taking Back America One Tea Party at a Time" to access the article) but the piece has set off howls of protest from the hounds of hell who are insulted. Can you imagine? Insulted!!!

Mark included the descriptive in his blog protesting the 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center planned at Park Place and Broadway, writing that it is a monument to the 9/11 terrorists.

"The monument would consist of a Mosque for the worship of the terrorists' monkey-god."
According to the NY Daily News report, "his statements drew a sharp rebuke from City Hall and the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a national Muslim civil rights and advocacy group. NY Mayor Bloomberg, a Jew, supports the project, as does State Sen. Daniel Squadron (D-Manhattan/Brooklyn). This from the chief hellhound enabler:
"It's appalling," a spokesman for Mayor Bloomberg said of Williams' comments, adding that the land is private and is zoned for a number of uses including a religious facility.

"It would be shocking if such ignorant comments failed to elicit a strong response not only from Tea Party leaders, but from other parties throughout the political spectrum," said Corey Saylor, the Muslim rights group's national legislative director.

The downtown project is being spearheaded by the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement. Neither group had any immediate response to Williams' comments.

The glass-and-steel building - which would also include a 500-seat performing arts venue, a swimming pool and a basketball court - would be built two blocks from the World Trade Center site, in the old Burlington Coat Factory.

This month, Community Board 1's financial district committee unanimously approved the project, calling it a "plus" for the community.

Mark's comments rattled CAIR's chains, a clanging from hell that happens with regularity at the slightest hint of "offense" aimed at the "religion of peace".

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Muslim rights group, pointed out other offensive statements Williams has made about Muslims on his Web site, including calling Islam "a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile."
In an e-mail to the Daily News, Williams was unapologetic - saying his comments were specifically aimed at the terrorists, which he described as "the animals of Allah." (Insert laugh here).

"If CAIR equates terrorists with Muslims then they apparently have a little [political correctness] problem of their own now don't they?" Williams said. Go for it, Mark!

Mark has posted additional comments at his site, wryly apologizing to Hindus around the world:

In the course of the article I described the “god” worshiped by terrorists as “a monkey god”. I was wrong and that was offensive. I owe an apology to millions of Hindus who worship Lord Hanuman, an actual Monkey God.

Moreover, Hanuman is worshiped as a symbol of perseverance, strength and devotion. He is known as a destroyer of evil and to inspire and liberate. Those are hardly the traits of whatever the Hell (literally) it is that terrorists worship and worthy of my respect and admiration not ridicule.

So, again, to my Hindu friends I offer my sincerest apologies for my horrible lapse and my insensitivity. It was unintentional, inexplicably ignorant and I am ashamed at my offense toward you.

Mark Williams, Gen. George S. Patton would have been proud of you. To paraphrase Old Blood and Guts listen carefully. He's whispering from his grave, "Mark, you magnificent bastard! I read your book."

I was actually thinking that comment wasn’t fair to the Hindu monkey god - and was wording that comment - then got to the place where he said so!

He's right. And my response is that there are times when you have to drop the niceties and this is one of them. Anyone who approves the building of a mosque at ground zero is a traitor. I've never used this word in reference even to our traitorous politicians, but the word applies.

This is one mosque that must never be built. There are plenty of other places to build one.

I'll put it this way. When they let us build a megachurch in downtown Mecca, I'll agree to this mosque. Until then whatever it takes, this must never be built.

Calling Allah a "monkey god" is a pointless insult.

However, "a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile", is just calling it the way it is. If they don't like that description they should get out of the cult.

I have an honest feeling that, if this mosque is erected at ground zero, it shall not stand long. As much as I realize NY is a liberal bastion, the people of New York will not stand for this. I believe pyromaniacs all over the city shall respond with glee to public antipathy regarding the mosque’s presence...:-)

I hope any protesters make LIBERAL USE of pig offal, lard, and lots of other tasty and nutritious parts of the noble swine. Somebody should go to the site on a regular basis, and spray it with lard or pig blood. Maybe throw a sausage or a slab of bacon here and there. You know, bristle brushes, hocks, etc. Versatile animal, the pig...
