Senator Ask Kagan About “Twilight” During Hearing!
www.LibertyJuice.com ^ | July 1, 2010 | Brittany Pounders

It’s getting absurd. The first time I heard it, my mouth dropped open at the sheer stupidity of Senator Klobuchar’s line of questioning. “You had an incredibly grueling day yesterday and you did incredibly well but I guess that means you missed themidnight debut of the third twilight movie last night… I keep wanting to ask you about the famous case of Edward vs Jacob or the vampire vs the werewolf?”

Sure, I know that a little bit of levity is needed every now and then. But we are facing the lifetime appointment to one of the most important seats in the entire nation and whose decisions directly and dramatically can affect the lives of each and every American and future Americans!

And where is the GOP while these stupid, stupid Democratic Senators dribble out these idiot lines of questioning? Perhaps the Constitution should be on the Senators reading list, rather than Twilight? Just a thought. Just further proof that elections have consequences.

What an embarrassment to our country.

You want to know what is even stranger? I was chatting with an out of state friend last night about "WHAT is all this juvenile 'Twilight' obsession?" and she told me that what is most ODD about Kloubasher's public behavior yesterday is that her step sister's body was identified as a drowning victim in Minneapolis.

I was shocked.

What a bizarre way to behave when your own step sister has died!! VERY peculiar.

Any grown man that thinks about this stuff on the job or during spare time should have his man-card revoked. To men, “Twilight” should be nothing more than a means to an end. Something for your daughter. Something for a girlfriend or wife (with definite eyes on the prize for later in the evening).

My daughter’s too young, and my wife couldn’t be less interested ... so I am glad to say I’ve never seen a minute of this nonsense.

If I were running against this Senator, I’d make a campaign commercial with that question in it ... “is this what we sent this guy to Washington for?”

I don’t know if she was murdered, all I know is that the body was retrieved from the Mississippi River, somewhere in the Twin Cities; I haven’t looked for any news articles about it, but presumably there must be some??

Wow ... I didn’t know Dr. Evil was going drag in the next Austin Powers movie. Where did you get this promotional still? I thought she looked like Al Gore in drag at first, but now I am not so sure.

Kloubasher’s sister drowned on Monday and she’s making jokes on Wednesday? Even if she didn’t get along with sister, she should have excused herself to be with family and friends for a few days. She should not even have been at the hearings unless she wanted face time and had her little joke planned to garner the simpleton vote.

Apparently, Twilight isn’t just for vapid 14 year olds because I saw an elderly woman reading it just last week. I’ve never read the books nor have I dished out hard earned dollars to see the movies.

I just posted links to 2 articles, in the latter one, they state that she intends to spend some time with her father & stepmother on Friday.

Strange she was missing for a week after a swimming trip and the officials had to resort to a public notice for help in identifying her even with tattoos. Note to self - don’t end up dead in Minnesota.

An interesting link from that page to info on an ongoing investigation on a farm near where Jacob Wetterling was abducted 21 years ago. That event has always tugged at my heart.

Do you happen to know anything more about the drowning death of Senator Klobuchar’s stepsister?

I think the question was specifically engineered to give the media a cute, giggly soundbite they could play in their coverage of Kagan’s testimony at the hearings. That way if anything controversial came up that day, they could just report that in droll narration, but people would hear Kagan herself being kind of hip about a popular culture item. (But also too “serious” to really get into it.)

The exchange makes NO sense whatsoever unless it was to provide something harmless for the media to report. And boy, did they report it! I heard it on every single top- and half-hour newsbreak on the radio that day.

Wonder why this particular Senator was selected to deliver the question? Because it sure didn’t make her look good.
