Sarah Paliln for RNC Chair Chatter

After news hit that Michael Steele had ‘stepped in it,’ in regards to comments he made about the war in Afghanistan, many are calling on him to resign his post as the Republican National Committee Chairman.

Personally, I take exception to what Mr. Steele said that has landed him in so much hot water. He tried to write off Afghanistan as another one of Obama’s failure’s. He said, “has he not understood that, you know, that’s the one thing you don’t do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan? Everyone who has tried, over 1,000 years of history, has failed.“

That war is far from over and it did not start on Obama’s watch. I do not think it is productive to try to score political points off the backs of our men and women in the military, the same way the left did under Bush. The goal is to win in Afghanistan, and to win as a nation regardless of who is occupying the White House at the time....

At first thought I thought “NO WAY”. But this is turning out to be a very good debate. Staying tuned to this thread.

“Personally, I don’t want Gov. Palin tarred with the brush of being officially a Republican Party official. I like her level of TEA Party INDEPENDENCE.

Currently she doesn’t have to toe the line, and I don’t want her tainted by the RINOs.

I think she has more power and positive influence on the outside than she would on the inside.”

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Well said. The Republican Party, as it is, needs to die. The RNC needs to wither on the vine. Palin has redefined the conduits of influence for true Conservatives, apart from the stagnant losers and self-serving traitors in the Republican Party. She should not limit herself to the RNC.

The coming generation of candidates may, in the interim, and of necessity, call themselves Republicans, but that should be only temporarily in order to flush out the RINO’s.

I for one am going to target my donations to truly Conservative candidates. But not one dime is going to any blanket “Republican” organizations.

DUH, I’ve been shouting this ever since Mikey wouldn’t respond to my many many many emails about issues.

And then when the RNC paid for porn . . . an HONORABLE man would have resigned then.

Sarah Palin would bring the GOP back to its common sense basics and she will galvanize voters for a huge November Republican vote.

Mikey Steele is unable to do much of anything except write a book on RNC time and then go out and promote it also on RNC time.

Sarah Palin writes a book and it’s a best seller before it’s even available from the printer.

The RNC holds the power to succeed or become obsolete and they can succeed with Palin or become obsolete with Steele.

The left will push this hard, as they know being RNC chair will sideline Sarah and remove any viable competition obama might have in 2012.

It's another dirty, liberal trick...just like when they picked McCain as the GOP Candidate for 2008...the weakest candidate of the lot.

Of course, the left's "steno pool"...the MSM...will be all for it.

The truth is, Sarah is already doing the job that Steele should have been doing in promoting conservatism and fighting against the progressives march to socialism.

RNC Chair has become a figurehead, ceremonial platform, with no clout or influence over anything.

Whether Sarah runs for President, or not, she does the left a lot more good as a "free agent", unencumbered by the GOP RINO squad and Male EGO patrol. I think she will see that and remain free and independent of their control.

We don't want another president that is "controlled" by any one group or entity, i.e. unions, party, or the George Soros of the world.

IIRC, GHWB was RNC chair...early on.

So was Bob Dole. So where Clayton Yeutter, Lee Atwater, Mary Louise Smith, Haney Barbour, Marc Racicot, Jim Nicholson, and a whole host of others. None has used the RNC chairmanship as a springboard to the presidency.

What's your point?

That Palin would be a fool to take a dead-end spot as RNC chairman if she is really planning on running for the Presidency.

LIZ CHENEY WOULD BE A GREAT CHOICE TOO.

If Sarah Palin’s not interested, Liz is also a great choice.

I’m afraid a MAN in any leadership position has too much FEAR to stand up and speak out.

Why is that, guys? DeMint, Pence, they speak up and then they are quiet for weeks and months. What gives?

I think the whole thing was scripted - and Steele is smart enough to do what his handlers tell him to do. We’ll see if the RINOs give us another RINO mouthpiece or a Conservative. This might be their attempt to curtail Palin by having her in their organization and so she has to say the party line.

Palin might be just the person to provide the superior vision we need to knock back Obama and company.

Palin has been building up a supply of political chips by going around the country, picking and choosing which Republican to choose in primaries. That would have to end if she took the RNC chairmanship. She would have to remain neutral on primaries, and certainly couldn't jump in and support a third party candidate like she did with Hoffman in the NY 23rd.

Steele knew he was on the way out - he just expedited the process. This is a deliberate ‘stepping in it’.

Makes sense to me, although I don't think he's got the intelligence to think of it himself - more likely it came from whoever offers him a job post-November, especially if the Democrats retain the House and Senate.

(RINO RNC leaders conference)

“Let’s get Palin out of the way, so our next presidential candidate can be (drumroll) Lindsay Graham!

(Uh, no?) “Well, how about Susan Collins? Judd Gregg? Joseph Cao? Maybe we can convince John McCain to run again!”

(Uh, no?) “Arlen Specter? He would switch back for power! Maybe if Harry Reid is voted out, we can run him as a Republican?”

“Remember, the ONE THING we cannot have is a conservative! It would be AWFUL! They call us names and give us wedgies!”

Liz Cheney would be an excellent choice. She's smart, articulate and not afraid to call out Dims for their stupidity. Ken Blackwell would be another good choice. Sarah Palin is much more valuable right where she is, doing what she does.

“Steele knew he was on the way out - he just expedited the process. This is a deliberate ‘stepping in it’.”

I have been thinking the same thing.

But, I am also thinking that the RNC convinced him to make such an “error” to allow Steele to be removed without the Dims being able to allege that he was removed because he was a Black man and to “prove” that the RNC is racist, since the libs and Dims look at Steele as an Uncle Tom.
