I’ll say a prayer for him.
I did the same with some regularity at that age.

A talk with his close friends is usually the most productive action. Just pass the word that he can come to you without accusations or judgement.

My next door neighbor’s kid did the same thing a few weeks ago. They found him 6 miles away walking down a country road. Make sure someone goes out in all directions.

Prayers said for you and your family.

Good question. (What, btw, makes you ask it?)
I’m not sure I’m qualified to answer it; not because I don’t know the people & story involved, but because I *do* know the people/story and am (in my opinion) too close to it to justly say one way or the other. I can honestly tell absolutely true stories that paint my dad and/or brother as assholes; and likewise I could highlight their more nobler characteristics.

That’s good to know, not that you did run away... but that you seem to have turned out well. (I like/respect you anyway.)
