I can understand the passion that could be kindled between two individuals of different political persuasions but how one could marry such a person if they were really a true believer for the other side that is something I can not understand. All I can say is Carville must be adept at something not readily apparent.

I still don’t get how they make their marriage work. I could no more be married to a committed liberal Democrat, than I could a three-toed sloth.
I know a Freeper who’s married to a liberal, and I don’t know how she does it, either. I’m afraid that’s just too close to home for me.
A friend of ours kept referring to her daughter’s jerk boyfriend as Rod, but his names was Kyle or something like that. I finally asked her why. She said the guy had put her daughter through so much crap, that he must have a golden rod, otherwise, why keep him around?
Makes me wonder about Carville (sorry for the mental image).
If these two ever let loose rhetorically, Matalin would pound him into next week.

I’ve always wondered the same thing. Maybe it’s just show biz* to them. Or maybe they’re staying together for their children’s sake.

The GOP strategists are in bed (literally) with the Donk strategists. It really explains a lot about why the two parties are so alike.
I think it is sweet how they can disagree to such an extent and still be married.

Just a couple of days ago I heard Mary Matalin call Mark Williams a kook and I thought “sheesh! look at the wacko you married.” Karma is ripening very quickly these days.

Ah, (stupid) youth. There’s no lay great enough to justify certain things. Sadly, it’s a lesson that usually takes experience and maturity to learn.
