I have no idea when it became a crime to sing the national anthem at the Lincoln Memorial, but a group of high school students were shocked learn that recently.
I’m surprised this did not get bigger attention sooner. High school students from the Young America’s Foundation started singing the national anthem when park police officers interrupted them, citing a federal law that says the area must be “completely content neutral.”
That did not deter them though. Reportedly since so many people, including other visitors the park officers were unable to silence the patriots on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Stupid Fascist cops.
If they had only sung “L’Internationale” everything would have been OK.
They should all swing like the conspirators executed in the aftermath of Lincoln’s assassination. They are not law enforcement, police officers, peace officers or anything connected with such. They are jackbooted government leeches content in oppressing the citizenry of this country, period.
Must be content neutral? What does that mean exactly? I am assuming that it means no political speech. When did our National Anthem become controversial to one side? This is beyond stupid.

Trust me. Spend your 4th of July on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with 500,000 fellow Americans, the reflecting pool in front of you, the Jefferson Memorial to the right, the White House to the left and again to the front with the Washington Memorial, the other reflecting pool and the Congress and you will be moved to sing any number patriotic songs.

That was the topic of the post to which I replied. I think the comment was in reference to Barry’s regular parties at the White House featuring broadway singers.

Since you mention it, I seem to remember the Obama’s first junket after moving into the White House was to a trip to New York to see a broadway musical about the suffering of blacks during the civil rights era (whether or not it is historically accurate was irrelevant). So was that racist? I mean it’s so obvious he went because the play was about race......why not Cats or any of the others? Hell, no one had even heard of the show until he went to it.
