Here is video of President Obama today trying to limit his endorsement of the Ground Zero Mosque by saying he only meant to say Muslims have “a right” to build. He said he was not commenting on “the wisdom” of building a mosque near Ground Zero.
If that is what he meant, why didn’t he say that last night? Because he meant what he said last night, BEFORE he realized the firestorm he has created for himself and every Democrat candidate!

You are so right on the “back tracking”. Remember when Obummer was running for office, people were using the “WORM” acronym to refer to him as his handlers were always having to correct his assertions by saying, “W”hat “O”bama “R”eally “M”eant to say (thus WORM). Worm is pretty tame as to what most of us call Obummer these days.
It depends on which ‘lower Manhattan’ he was talking about. ;^)
This reminds me of the quote about Americans “clinging to guns or religion or antipathy to those different from themselves.” He backtracked later, but he meant it about rural white Americans.
Now, Muslims cling to their religion, and many of them cling to violence against everyone who doesn’t agree with them. You don’t hear much about that from Barry, do you? Just about their religious rights that he supports as a citizen and (please don’t remind me) and as President.
Barry, you can’t take it back. They heard you loud and clear in all 57 (Muslim) states when you were spouting off to your buddies at the Iftar dinner.

I thought there used to be laws that kept foreigners from owning and controlling land in the US.
