Iam not defending anyone here but Buchanan works for a bunch of liberals.
He is getting a nice paycheck to be a fake moderate in politics.
To: Cyman
I can’t agree with you. I think Newt is damaged goods because of his personal life so I don’t support him. If you held a gun to my head though and said I had to pull the ballot box lever for either Newt or Pat Buchanan it would be Newt in a heartbeat.

Pat said all that needs to be said about Newt in one line: “House Speaker Newt Gingrich a political opportunist”

Here's to hoping Newt Gingrich will not run for president. He has WAY TOO MUCH BAGGAGE and the press will have a field day with that. He needs to be a behind the scenes idea man. He's smart and has a lot to contribute but he's not ever going to be president and running will only hurt the Republicans. I hope his ego doesn't get the better of him and convince him he has a chance.

Pat's wrong, as he often is. Newt has stood pretty strongly on the war on terror. His comments about the mosque at ground zero would seem to fit quite well with his past positions.
And no, I don't support a presidential run for Newt. Just wanted to set that record straight.

It is a little too early to start huh?

That might be my favorite, wait make that second favorite, picture of the Governor.
OK top 5 for sure.

LOL. No they give this antisemitic, revisionist History, Hitler wasn't so bad, nutter a big fat paycheck for allowing them to all pretend he is a mainstream conservative.
Keeps Jewish liberals “on the plantation”.

To: Pharmboy
Buchanan sounds like a flaming liberal nowadays. He was so far right of anyone in his prime.
He is buttering his bread. They all are. But I am so sick of this merry go round. The dems get on and they ruin things worse than Carter and Obama then enter the GOP and it is better by far but all of congress and the senate/ all of DC needs huge pay cuts and or downsized.

No fan of Palin’s, but Buchanan is right
Newt supported Dede Schizzofava in NY, works with Nancy Pelosi to pass Global Warming....he is Liberal RINO..and further left of Palin
Still, Buchanan critics are funny....they are more liberal than he is (especially on Free Trade Globalism)....but whine about him being a Liberal.
As much as MSNBC is Nutjob News....Free Traders line up with Al Gore, George Soros, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter...and every other DNC Liberal on Free Trade Globalism. Another group of Nutjobs

No fan of Palins, but Buchanan is right I know you're not, and I'm no fan of Buchanan's, but on Newt he's right, and I like Newt for some of his ideas, but not as a presidential candidate or spokesman for the Republican party. He's a professor who thinks he knows it all. FDR a great president? Absolutely NOT.

gingrich lost my vote when he caved to the left on the global warming hoax.
To: onyx
Honestly, I would vote for Newt before I would Romney or Huckleberry, but it would have to come down to that.
I'm not as annoyed with Newt so much because he went skirt chasing - bill clinton did much worse - as I am about him building the "Rebublican revolution" up to a cresendo, and then, just dropping out.
I'm sure along about that time his other head was doing his thinking for him, but mixing business and pleasure will get you every time. And, when the public found out about his antics, they deserted him.
If he said that, then he is worried about Palin...as he should be...she would trounce him throughly.
