I am listening to Sean Hannity and I'm fuming. He's defending Gen. Petraeus' weak-kneed position on the burning of Korans... and Hannity's not seeing the bigger picture. "This Koran burning will put our troops in harm's way!" he screams.

Ummm, Sean, they already are in harm's way. And no matter how fierce the fight, how dangerous the battle, that's what our military is trained to do. That's why they are in "harm's way".
Three callers so far. All three disagree with Sean. Sean cuts them off, sliding their audio pot down on his switcher to override them, all the time hiding behind Gen. Petraeus' political statement to make his case. End of callers. Into a commercial break and then the news. Back in with Newt Gingrich who's saying something about another contract...

Sean's nose is out of joint because callers were telling him that he's got it wrong. The Florida pastor is making the case that it is time to stand up to these mangy muslim mongrels who are pushing themselves and their death-worshiping way of life on us.
"Kowtowing to these radicals is going to make it worse," one caller tries to say as Sean screams over him.
Sean is showing his true colors... an unattractive shade of wimp, tinged with appeasement yellow. He's so angry with this caller he can barely talk. "How dare you accuse me of kowtowing... you obviously don't listen to this program every day!" he fumes. The caller manages to say that he does before Sean cuts him off again.
That caller might listen to Sean everyday, but we won't be from now on.

John Gibson was selling the same kool-aid as Hannity yesterday. Almost every caller disagreed with him, but he shouted them down and insisted that the actions of this kooky pastor would endanger American lives. The criticism should be aimed at the lunatics who riot and kill every time they decide the West has offended them. The only proper response of any politician or talking head, was to say:
“We do not support the burning of any religious book or artifact and are equally offended when muslims and islamic governments burn Christian Bibles or destroy Buddist temples. Having said that, we will not interfere with the right of free speech and will respond with force if anyone attempts to use this incident as an excuse for attacking US soldiers or other citizens.”
I fume at Hannity everytime he has his “buddy” McCain on.
This isn't a MUSLIM country; it was founded by god-fearing Christians who didn't want to be suppressed or harassed - the Constitution is Christian-based, nothing else. Screw Islam, screw liberals and progressives, and screw any other group that strives to relieve us of this.

I agree. And we should promise to burn a koran every time an American is killed by a muslime. Then the number of korans that are burnt will be entirely dependent on how well they behave.
I used to think that this was just silly publicity stunt but after watching the reaction of the journalistic elites and of muslims around the world I’ve come to believe that it is in fact a necessary action.

I (and probably all but 50 people in the rest of the world) never heard of this pastor, until the MSM decided to make him a cause-celeb. I said yesterday that this would be no issue at all if the MSM ignored this event with the same zeal that they tried to ignore the 8/28 and 9/12 events on the DC mall.
I’m not sure that I would go so far to call Sarah a RINO at this point, frantzie, but perhaps she is. I definitely do not agree with her on this. There is no point in trying to appease Islam, or walk on eggshells around them. They understand one thing and one thing only, and that thing is death. Islam is the scrouge of the earth, and it needs to be dealt with harshly.
