I think leans “D” and likely “D” are comparable descriptions, don’t you?

Look, if she wins, I prefer her over the democrat, in spite of the weirdness that seems to dog her. I’ll get some satisfaction out of seeing Castle gone, whether the seat is lost or not.

But a lot of the stuff I’m reading about Rove is just silly. As far as “histrionics” go, nothing he said is any worse than much of what I’m reading here.

I want conservative candidates, too. But, just in case you’re not clear on the concept, we’re also trying to INCREASE our numbers. I don’t know that essentially anathematizing Karl Rove (who probably supports about 90% of your positions) for raising some real obvious and well-know issues about a single candidate with some serious drawbacks, is really the way to accomplish that...

But, hey, thanks for playing...

There is a war for the heart and soul of the Republican party now.
And you chose your side. You are with the Roves, the Castles, the Crists, and the Murkowskis. You are with the Ruling Class Establishment RINOs who lord over the Republicans and use fear and smears to keep their power. O’Donnell is a real person who has lived a real life, not a blue blood from the country club groomed her whole life by her daddy and his consultants to be part of the Ruling Class. O’Donnell has less “weirdness” in her history than me, and probably most regular people.

Rove clearly wants Coons to win. He was doing the Democrats’ dirty work for them, peddling their lies and innuendos to O’Donnell’s base after the primary, when her only opponent is Coons, and the only result of his actions could be Coons gaining support and O’Donnell losing it.

He is a POS, and so is anyone playing apologist for him.

“He lost me when he called Christine’s win “inexplicable”... how out of touch can he be.”

Yeh, and he gets paid big bucks to know the answers yet he can't explain it. Pretty obvious, Castle's record was not to the liking of Delaware voters. The “architect” should have found a better candidate to run - an outsider with out the so - called “baggage”.

He has failed to consider the anti-incumbent/political establishment effect, which seems to explain her win to me.

“This was stunning! I could hardly believe what I was seeing. Rove cranked up a one man smear campaign on live TV,... against a Republican who just won a primary.”

And not only that, later, he claims that he was just doing his job an an analyst and then says he was right in his assessment because she was the only one of these type of candidates that did not advance in the polls after her election.

Well she was the only Republican primary winner who was within five minutes attacked, and Fox reported that the RNC committee to elect senators was not going to back her. Could it be that such negativity could have adversely impacted her image?

And how about a fair and balanced analysis? Maybe a little mention of her opponent’s baggage and how that would impact the election. To hear Rove you would think that she was an unindicted criminal and her opponent was Mr perfect honest joe who would not just fall in line with Obama’s agenda.

You make my point for me. You can’t stand to even be challenged. You can’t even engage in civil discourse. I’m as conservative (at least) as you are, and I even support your candidate, even though I have some reservations about her. I haven’t challenged a single one of the principles she’s running on. I went to Washington with my family last year to attend the Tea Party in September.

I’m merely pointing out that I can understand Rove’s reaction, to a degree.

But that’s just not good enough for you. We haven’t even won anything yet, and you’re ready to purge the ranks. You even resort to name calling.

This is an off-year election with the ruling party unpopular and in trouble, where enthusiasm and turnout will be decisive. But if you’re ready to jettison the entire Republican establishment, that’s going to be a problem in 2012. What do you think you’re going to replace it with? You don’t want Rove. You must really hate Krauthammer now, as well, since he voiced the same concerns as Rove. Those are two pretty big, pretty effective voices for conservatism that you are ready to cast aside over a single marginal candidate. I guess the NRO folks are out, too.

But, hey your “POS” diatribe will take up all the rhetorical slack, I’m sure...

How can you understand Rove’s reaction?
He is a political operative, whose job is to influence the outcome of elections.

And he is doing his best to do just that, and stop O’Donnell in her tracks. Rove is worthy only of scorn for that. He is purposefully trying to throw the election for the GOP in Delaware.

He pitched a temper tantrum and said, “if I don’t get my guy, I’m going to scorch the earth!”
But he did it AFTER the votes were counted.

He’s not stupid. He knew what he was doing.
And that is why if you understand it and sympathize with him, then you are as contemptable as he is.

I don’t know why I’m bothering with this, since you’ve already ignored much of what I had already written in previous posts (I support Mike Castle? Really?).

But, for the record, I sent Murkowski an angry email a couple of hours ago over her decision to run as a write-in. So, strike two....

I didn’t say you supported Mike Castle.
I said you claim to understand why Rove did what he did, and yet you seem to sympathize with him.
If you understood why he did what he did, then you should view him as an absolute pariah.

Rove has been involved for years in doing his best to engineer Republican majorities (with varying levels of success, to be sure). He sees a candidate go down that he thinks is a shoe-in for one whom he thinks won’t win, and it’s disappointing to him. Doesn’t mean he’s right, or that he conducted himself in exactly the way I would have preferred, but, yeah, I understand his human reaction, and consider him in the totality of who I think he is and what he’s done, rather than a single snapshot in time.

Surely, you and your ex-Wiccan candidate can appreciate that...

You know, I’ve been in many more heated bulletin board debates than this, and I’ve never felt compelled to call my opponent a POS or contemptible, particularly with someone who professes to believe the same things I do. What motivates a person, anyway?

Rove engineered the RINO majority that lost it all.
And now, Rove is losing it as they lose one after another.

Rove is out.
And he is never allowed back in.

Rove is the one who engineered Big Government “Compassionate Conservatism”, AKA Progressive Republicanism, and pushed hard for Amnesty. People like Castle were his allies.

This nostalgia for the failed “Permanent Republican Majority” is holding you back, and clouding your thinking.
You will come to see Rove for what he is, eventually.

Many people around here realized it long before me.
I was still undecided about Rove up until about 8:30 ET on September 14th. But that answered everything I need to know.

I only called Rove a POS directly.
And what is this about “ex-Wiccan”?
I thought O’Donnell was running for the Senate in Delaware in 2010, not Massachussetts in 1692!

Get a life!
So she played her Led Zeppelin and Stevie Nicks records backwards in the ‘80s... maybe she even listened to Ozzy.
So what? Teenagers ‘dabble’ in a lot of stuff.

Thought you might find it useful.

Rove is a problem, a flack for the corporate "center" that wants their soft socialism with which to crush their competition without paying for the consequences.
