As the Election Approaches, Do Not Trust the MSM

am ashamed to admit that there is one thing the contemporary mainstream media does well. Having spent years studying politics, history, and language, I find it amazing that media is able to convince people to believe conflicting narratives. The creation and perpetuation of these contradictory beliefs cannot be possible without a media structure, as well as an educational structure, that discourages, and too often scorns, analytical thinking. In George Orwell’s novel “1984″, he described this as doublethink which is the power to hold two completely contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accept both of them.

The mainstream media has drawn a line in the sand and clearly shown us what side of the line they’re on. They continue to move farther to the left. At the same time their audience is shrinking. This is a direct correlation.

Exactly!

When their audience stops shrinking we will know how many anti-Americans are in the country.

Let’s be real about this. The SRM has lost, given away or forfeited any and all credibility a long time ago.

You realize that opinion polling is meant to shape opinion... right?

So by lying to pollsters you are not doing anything clever. You are just hurting the conservative cause by depressing turnout.

This helps liberals because they will see that their candidates have higher numbers and be more energized to vote.

Opinion polls shape opinion and drive turnout. The only poll that matters in on election day.

I didn't see a sarcasm symbol after you're comment, but I assume one..:=)

I know this article is preaching to the choir, but the author explains some of the MSM lies quite succinctly.

Members of the media actually make politicians look honest (by comparison).

The more polls are out of line with The True Poll (election results) the less they can be used to shape opinion.

If a poll for El Segundo shows overwhelming support for a Republican candidate from Latino likely-to-votes, when the reality is the opposite, the opinion-shapers will have wasted their time in crafting clever ad campaigns to counter it.

Also if a Dem candidate is seen to be doing extremely well in a district, they won’t flood that district with ads (waste of money).

They need honest results to work their tricks and properly shape opinion. If they get GIGO data or can’t trust it, it adds uncertainty to their campaign.

And why lie in the liberals favor? But lying about your demographics messes things up.
