Republican Sharron Angle has opened a larger lead in the Nevada Senate race, according to the most recent Rasmussen poll. According to this, Angle's lead is almost larger than the margin of error, dramatically increasing the chances that she will beat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on November 2nd. This is the first Rasmussen poll taken since last week's debate and appears to be showing momentum for Angle.
Reid again appears to be having difficulty building traction among Nevada voter and is not well liked by independents. Furthermore, Angle actually crosses the 50% mark, a near death-knell for Reid. Reid won by a bare smidgen in the 1998 race, almost losing in a good Democratic year.

No this can’t be true. An establishment GOP friend who consulted on one of the other campaigns in the primary has told me she’s too extreme and a bit “nuts” and its a shame we wasted this chance. So she can’t be winning ;-)

I’m not going to call this race until the last valid ballot is counted, the last fraudulent Dem vote is rejected, and the last frivolous Dem lawsuit is dismissed, but I would be thrilled to see Angle’s margin reach a level where the Dems decide to pull out their funding to shore up candidates in races where they might have a chance.

I think she did him in on the debate. Now we have to hope to get rid of Boxer and Murray.

As Dick Morris predicted, the late breakers choosing change in a bad economy. Plus, anyone watching that debate saw Angle as rational and senatorial (certainly more than Reid) which was different than the way she has been caricatured by the left. The same dynamic should work in O’Donnell’s favor. People who have not paid too much attention yet but finally take the time to look at the candidates see a very different picture than the one painted by the left.

This is absolutely fantastic news. For three very important reasons.
(1) The most obvious reason is that it it a pickup in a year where any and every pickup counts.
(2) It vindicates the Tea Party candidates. Four important races to watch are Nevada, Florida, Alaska and Delaware. No matter what else happens this year if we lose more than two of these races the Tea Party will be discredited. The RINOs establishment will use the failure of Tea Party candidates in these states to reassert their right to leadership in the GOP. That is why they are actively sabotaging the races in these states. Angle taking out Reid will put the Tea Party half way to legitimacy.
(3) The dems will be leaderless. Unlike the house the dems might retain the Senate. Even if we take the majority it will only be by one seat. The leader of the Democrats could make them a serious threat to the Tea party's goal, if they can get organized. However if Reid follows Tom Daschle and George Mitchell into defeat at home the meme of lead the Democrats, lose your seat will come into play.
It will become obvious to the Democrats in the Senate that their leaders will get picked off for supporting Obama. As a result their next leader will (a)Defy Obama regularly in order to save his own seat. (b) Be a raving lunatic from a relatively safe seat, and thus be easy to demonize and mount opposition against. Either way there will be a power struggle in the Democrat party and that is always good for us.

Hes not praying, hes practicing the Obama chin tilt.
Have you ever noticed you some people pray with their chins up, as if staring God in the face, while others pray with their eyes down in humble repentance. I have always thought that it says a lot about a person.
