Here is video of an Illinois crowd spontaneously rising to their feet to say the Pledge of Allegiance, even though the League of Women Voters’ Moderator had said they had no plan to do so. A man calls for a point of order to ask the moderator if they are going to say the Pledge, to which the moderator said, “No we are not.” As the moderator tried to explain why they would not be saying the Pledge – the crowd rose to their feet and began saying the Pledge!
Republican Joe Walsh – candidate for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District – says in the video that this was the best part of the entire forum! He is opposing incumbent Democrat Rep. Melissa Bean. God bless these patriots!

For thirty years, I’ve watched these debates and moderated events go on...and the Republicans simply took the stumble and accepted mess in front of them. With the simple ingredient of the Tea Movement...I’m noticing these events shift now. The moderators are no longer a match for a crowd that asks questions and expects answers.
The only disappointing thing about this video is that they did not show the look on the face of the Obamoid who was running program when the crowd took charge and said the pledge. Amazing how many people who follow Obama have such contempt for their own country.

If Bean loses to Joe Walsh on election night, I will be popping the champagne. THAT would be the comeback story of the year here.
I loathe a faux “moderate” like Melissa Bean more than an outright hard-core leftist like Jan Schakowsky. At least Schakowsky is honest about what she stands for, unlike the abortion-loving socialist/Chicago machine hack Melissa Bean always telling voters she’s a “fiscally conservative and socially moderate” suburban mom.
Things are looking for good in Illinois. My town gave 60% of the vote to Obama in ‘08, but Brady signs outnumber Quinn signs about 3-to-1 now. So much for the idea that “moderates” the only kind of candidates who can “win” here.
Little, not too much, before my time. Will have to check it out.
There was a thread earlier today about a micro camera...google the generic and consider investing in one. Then when stuff like this happens, you won’t be ordered to shut it off.

Joe stood up and covered his heart and said the pledge, what was the dem doing? It only shows him.
The area from south of the WI state line to about Richton Park and East of the Fox River is suspect.
All the rest is ok.
