An Insane Solution to an Insane Problem

Ever since the defeat of the combined strength of numerous Arab countries in their vain but strident attempt to dissolve the Jewish state and her people, the world has conspired through the United Nations to replace Israel with the figment of a deranged reality known as the palestinian nation. Seek any fragment, mere mention, slightest hint, or even a wisp of smoke that pretended the existence of a palestinian nation made up of palestinian Arabs previous to June of 1967. The only entity you will find was the PLO, which, according to its own charter, was formed not to free the palestinian people and restore their long lost home, but to destroy Israel and kill every Jew residing therein. There is the whole truth and fabric from which was sewn the entire boondoggle we today call the Peace Process. The truth is there is no Peace Process; there is only one of the myriads of schemes by which the World seeks to rid itself of Israel and, once and for all, the Jews. That is the truth that must not be spoken, the truth that must be kept couched within enigmatic phrases of empty rhetoric signifying the lies necessitated by the web being woven to obscure the diabolical plans to finally finish the Jewish problem.

Most easily obvious are the iniquitous and devious plotting of Iran, Syria, Hamas, Fatah, Hezballah and the rest of the Muslim adherents who openly speak of the death of the Zionist entity and the genocide of the Jewish people. In similar plain view are the regular suspects of anti-Semitism that are increasingly gaining general acceptance once again throughout much of Europe as they call for an equality that would soon result in the final assault against Israel, an assault they salivate over in anticipation of its long awaited success. But what of the few countries who claim to support Israel in its prayerful struggle to survive against monumental odds? There lie some interesting intrigues.

The few countries who officially claim to support Israel almost universally define down their support with terms such as “right to defensible borders”, “Israel’s mutual right to security”, and other restraining terminologies. In virtually every instance, Israel’s supporters all presume that in exchange for promises Israel must give concessions despite the full knowledge by all that these appeasements will not avail Israel of any gains or hope of promises kept by any other party, they are simply gifts given of endless hope against hope. The area left in dispute is called by some the West Bank and by others Judea and Samaria, their ancient names out of antiquity. Before June 1967, they were considered illegally occupied by Jordan and are now considered illegally occupied by Israel. This begs the question of to whom do they originally belong? Before WWI they were part of the Ottoman Empire, a disregarded part of the Ottoman Empire. After WWI, they were part of the British Mandate lands from which the Balfour Declaration, with collaborating documents from the League of Nations, called for a Jewish State to be formed. History notes that in 1921, the British formed the entity of Trans-Jordan, which would eventually be known simply as Jordan and was gifted to the Hashemite family formerly from the Saudi Peninsula. After WWII the United Nations joined the fray where it was ultimately decided to further divide the remaining one quarter of the British Mandate lands into a Jewish and Arab states. The Muslim nations of the Arab League refused to recognize the partition and declared a war of elimination and genocide against the nascent Jewish State. When the dust settled, Israel was assigned an armistice line that was specifically denoted was not an actual recognized border which would need to come from future negotiations. This demarcation left the West Bank under Jordanian control.

Eventually, Jordan and Israel negotiated a peace in which Jordan surrendered the lands of the West Bank to Israel. Normally, this would have been the end of any controversy and Israel and Jordan would have the agreed upon border of the Jordan River. But, since we are talking about Israel and the Jews, the world could not allow such a travesty of Israel gaining any area of land to occur. There was, after all, the question of what to do with the ever-increasing number of “refugees” from the war in 1948 and 1949. The United Nations had all these camps teeming with refugees who claimed to have been dispossessed of their land. The “special” nature of this particular set of refugees is noted by the fact the United Nations invented a special agency, United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNWRA), which invents a completely new definition for the term “refugee”. By UNRWA definition, refugee is defined a person whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948 and all descendants in the male line of Palestinian refugees, and persons in need of support who first became refugees as a result of the 1967 conflict. Obviously, with such a definition the number of refugees is likely to grow exponentially and, unlike all other refugees of conflicts under normative definitions by the same United Nations, the grievance population will last in perpetuity. This was merely a design for an unending grievance against the Jewish State of Israel. By allowing for such a contrivance against Israel, any semblance of peace was knowingly sacrificed in exchange for the constant drumbeat of violence and terror.

With the deck stacked against any solution which allows for the State of Israel to continue to exist, any solution is, by necessity, going to have to be extreme and in defiance of the status quo. Initially, Israel will need to remove itself from all outside influences. This would require, as the first step, Israel to remove itself from membership in the United Nations and declare intent to impose an Israeli solution to the palestinian question. From that instant forward, the Israelis would be advised to speak softly and carry forward with their plans in defiance of the intense caterwauling of the rest of the world. Quietly, but resolutely, Israel should begin to implement the much maligned One State Solution. This would require probably at least a decade for this plan to be implemented. Initially, the palestinian areas would be given local autonomy in the neighborhoods that were overwhelmingly Muslim. Over the next decade, Israel would extend full citizenship to the palestinians that meet certain prerequisites. The first and most obvious requirement would be having absolutely no ties to terrorism. There should also exist an avenue for those found to have such relations to appeal the decision with the understanding that such a petition would render a definitive and final adjudication. After the founding of the unified State of Israel, anybody convicted of an act of terrorism would face loss of citizenship and deportation. Only the residents of the West Bank would be eligible for citizenship in the unified Israel. Those in refugee camps outside of boundaries of a unified Israel would need to be assimilated into the countries in which they reside or whatever solution found that does not entail their inclusion within unified Israel. Exceptions could be considered for immediate family members, but that should be left for future consideration conditional on the initial results of an attempt at unification and mutual trust.

enjoyed the read... and i would hope that the US would be more demanding of the the UN to support nations promoting freedom than despots and dictatorships.

United Nations of People and recognition of those nations that support the rights of their people.

when will we learn.

The UN is an arm of Islam via membership.

Ever ponder the pronouncements against the only democracy in the mid east?
