Adding to the historic victory delivered by the American people this week, NBC provided a Friday surprise that gives us the topping on the cake.
MSNBC has suspended star anchor Keith Olbermann following the news that he had donated to three Democratic candidates this election cycle.
I became aware of Keiths political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay, MSNBC president Phil Griffin said in a statement.
Politico reported Friday that Olbermann had donated $2,400 each to Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, and to Kentucky Senate contender Jack Conway. While NBC News policy does not prohibit employees from donating to political candidates, it requires them to obtain prior approval from NBC News executives before doing so.

He is a great “Star” at DU, and subject of much hilarity here on the DUmmie Funnies threads.
You pretty much nailed it.
Agreed.
This is all “kabuki” to disprove that MSNBC is the communications arm of the Democratic Party.
Sounds like a cheap stunt to me as well.
He is getting publicity now, before nobody watched him..
I can see MSNBC forgiving him if they think it will improve his ratings..
Lepanto PING!!!!
This doesn’t make any sense, it’s like letting a guy get away with drunken driving every day but coming down on him for a broken tail light. I suspect it could be politically correct cover for something else Keith got up to. Maybe he had some sort of melt down after Tuesday’s results?
Thanks.
Lol!! If you’re going “break the rules” and risk your job, at least donate more than your cheap-ass $2400/per!! (Well, what do I know? He probably makes less than I do, being on MSNB-S)
Does this mean he’s the WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD for today?
Vote for Republicans...
and all your wildest dreams will come true. apparently.
Put Olberman on suicide watch. He’s a danger to himself and others. No joke.
