The court-martial of LTC Lakin is scheduled to convene on December 14, 2010. The defendant in this case, Colonel Terry Lakin has been recognized by the web site

Obama is active on a motion for reconsideration of a previous denial of a motion for a “quo warranto” proceeding in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking a demonstration of eligibility justifying the authority of the office of president claimed by Barack Obama.
Finally, let us not overlook the important case of LCDR Walter Fitzpatrick, a retired naval officer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Unfortunately they have a large and receptive audience for their propaganda among those who feel a job is a job and if you take the check you have to do whatever you are told, even if it is illegal. Read the comments posted on this site, and see the Nuremberg defense ( I was only following orders ) repeatedly recited. That’s how TSA agents and military officers less brave than Terry Lakin rationalize their actions and sleep at night.

I would like to hear Denise Lind rationalize the lawfulness of the orders to 3 soldiers, given her own stipulation that the lawfulness/Constitutionality of the net effect is irrelevant:
First soldier’s order: Move the prisoners to the shower area.
Second soldier’s order: Turn on the “shower”.
Third soldier’s order: Remove dead bodies from shower area and bury them.
Actually, I take that back. I wouldn’t like to hear her rationalization. I’ve already heard it, and it made me sick to my stomach. I don’t need that again. I’d rather they just came out and said this is a coup and we don’t need no steenkin’ law. Why should a thief pretend to be your friend before he shoots you?
To quote a judge I was once before, after we exposed opposing counsel committing a “terminological inexactitude:” “So lawyers lie.” What did the kid say in the movie: “My father’s a liar, er lawyer.”

It feels like a play in an alternate universe,
with a scripted plot and conclusion, and every
robotic actor is playing their assigned role.

I hate to say it, but I came into this eligibility issue with a very, very low opinion of lawyers in general and it’s gone drastically downhill from there.
I know I shouldn’t paint everybody with the same brush, but I despair of there being any lawyers who genuinely care about justice or the rule of law. I can’t understand a profession where people get notoreity and respect by being able to get crooks off free because of the sophistry and trickery of the lawyer.
I think I’d rather be a prostitute than that. Different form of the same thing, but more honest if it doesn’t dress itself up in fancy language.
Behold the spectacle of those who swear a solemn oath to protect and preserve the Constitution trashing it in order to elevate a man whose entere career is set in the quicksand of lies and deception above the law based on the Constitution.

For anyone who doesn’t know how a court martial works, it will be Lieutenant Colonel Lakin’s choice whether he will be tried by a panel of officers, a combined panel of officers and enlisted members, or by Judge Lind sitting alone.

The good news is, there was an intervention, and Lakin has been rescued from the birther cult and is being deprogrammed. His new lawyer seems to have a shot at reintroducing him into the ranks of his fellow Hero Patriots.
