Sharpton Demands Government Crackdown on Right-Wing Critics
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^

One-time Democratic presidential candidate Al Sharpton demanded that the federal government pull illegitimate commentators off the air. The Reverend was especially incensed by radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.
The air waves belong to the government, Sharpton maintained. The government has the right to decide who may use them. Those who misuse them like Rush Limbaugh does ought to be shut down.
Free speech is not the issue, Sharpton argued. Just because we say theres free speech doesnt mean you can say whatever you want. Theres got to be limits. When a person like Limbaugh persistently criticizes the President without just cause, thats racism, and the FCC has the authority to take him off the air.
To help facilitate the FCCs regulatory process Sharpton offered to vet all talk show hosts in order to prevent racism and ensure that those biased against the President arent permitted to abuse the public airways with their message of hate and intolerance.

Hey, Al. He's not criticizing Barry because he's half black. He's criticizing him because he's all RED.

The air waves belong to the government, Sharpton maintained. I try not to call people names or label them. (ok, I know I slip from time to time) but... Do you think Sharpton is just being contrary here? Do you think he knows how utterly stupid, dangerous, and well, fascist he sounds?
Whatever happened to "dissent is patriotic?" Or that little notion called "free speech" in The Bill of Rights?

It's not satire when it actually happens.
And it did.

IMHO, the airwaves belong to the people, not the government.

Here’s the limit Al—yelling fire in a crowded theater and no stretch analogies allowed. Otherwise you can say any damn thing you want.
And the FCC ought to back off worrying about cuss words if they don’t want to drive everyone to satellite radio.

Sharpton is on it!
A man of action.
Expect to see results.

Far too real to be satire. Soon it will be real if the Commies get their way.
