I thought Steele was running again, also?
Or did that change yet again?
People need to point out that this victory was NOT due to anything Steele did, but it was IN SPITE OF the GOP party and their efforts to snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory (once again) and 100% thanks to the TEA PARTY
Any Republican wanting to head the GOP had better acknowledge that, or they are to stupid to hold the position.
“Steele is running on the basis that the Republicans just had the greatest victory in 100 years.” This makes as much sense as: “The Yankees won all those World’s Championships because I rooted for them.” Sitting in the stands and watching doesn’t make you part of the winning team.
Michael Steele has yet to really make a definitive statement about his intentions. I think part of the animosity towards Steele is about his ending the 72 hour program. Instead of sending out staffers to close races; Steele chose to save money by having staffers call from RNC Hq using masked phone lines.
Another big issue if the debt of the RNC. The RGA raised quite a sum of money; not so much for the rest of the GOP. I don’t favor any candidate yet; waiting to hear the ideas that candidates propose.
