Excellent information from "inside the courtroom" offers a more educated view than Maureen Dowd's snarky opinion.

im so sick of this guy. he deserves whatever punishment he gets.

you dont abandon/deny your orders. plain and simple. no one in the military agrees with this guy on what he did and how he went about it. they may agree with his politics, but certainly not his actions.

good riddance.

Why stand with someone who chose to agree that the one charge against him is completely and totally true.

As a Marine, I agree with you. There are right ways and wrongs ways and his was wrong.

My registered Shelties had more documentation of their authenticity than the marxist, muslim, pos, homo, clueless, empty suit thug currently in the White House. Obama needs to be arrested, tried for treason and brought to justice by a jury of military families who have lost loved ones due to Obama’s insane rules of engagement.

Quite correct, and quite irrelevant to Lakin’s offenses.

Many solutions are available and eventually one will prevail. I personally applaud everyone who has done anything to uphold our constitution!

Don’t be a public and obnoxious retard.

Lakin didn’t abandon or deny his orders. He asked for a simple proof that they were legitimate under the terms of the Constitution. Proof which has not been forthcoming, I might add.

Lakin didn’t take an oath to ‘obey orders’: he took an oath to defend the Constitution and to obey the orders of the President of the United States.

If - according to the Constitution that Lakin took an oath to defend - the guy in the White House isn’t eligible to be CinC then any orders he has issued simply have no validity.

From Lakin’s testimony yesterday, “I understand that it was my decision, and I made the wrong choice.”

Then why . . . ?

Did he really think he was going to unseat a President?

i think alot people’s political views are clouding their judgement on this issue.

my personal opinion is that Obama isnt a citizen, and if he was, certainly not a natural born.

having said that, i took the same oath as he did. that doesnt give me the right to disobey orders, which is what he is found guilty of. Obama didnt write his orders and sign them. Obama may be ultimiately responsible for decisions made regarding this war, but that doesnt give Lakin the right to disobey orders.

was Lakin charged with slander? or lying under oath? Insubordination?

NO. he was found guilty of disobeying orders.

You say that Lakin, as with all of us who serve, swore an oath to defend the constitution. This is very true. You can only disobey an unlawful order. His mobilization orders were by no means unlawful.

some of you are arguing apples, when the matter is regarding oranges. The simple fact is this: Lakin disobeyed a lawful order. and he is to be rightly punished.

he sets no example that a real leader would choose to follow.

I don't think he wanted to unseat a president. He wanted the president to prove he met constitutional eligibility.

This man has been isolated and treated horribly. If we can break Kalid Shaken Mohamad, what did we do to Ltc. Larkin?

WOW. i think is very radical left of some of you to post images of the gestapo or saying things about following unjust orders.

even Lakin admitted to being wrong. thats what the issue is here. LAKIN WAS WRONG to disobey his orders. thats the entire point im trying to make here. he went about it absolutely the wrong way.

i agree with Lakin’s idealogy and opinions regarding the matter. its funny that we all agree in this thread. still doesnt give Lakin the right to disobey lawful orders. period.

thats why he pleaded guilty.
