Tucker Carlson is Correct. Animal Cruelty Should be an Execution-Worthy Offense
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | December 29, 2010 | David Swindle

That's Maura, the third member of the Swindle-Bey household. She brings nothing to the table except unconditional love and affection. That's what dogs do. We take care of them, and they take care of us. They are the most innocent, pure, selfless spirits to emerge since the Dawn of Time.

What kind of person would want to brutally torture to death such embodiments of goodness?

Michael Vick.

Not too sure about Vick but it might be worthwhile to consider the death penalty for anyone who wears a bow-tie.

When I was a child dogs ran free and every now and then a real doggie brawl would take place. Hundreds would gather, men, women and children bets would fly even the local police would watch. I tend to think dog fights should be legalized. George Washington was an avid fan of cockfights so throw them in the mix. Dewussify the masses.

Also disturbing is that if these thugs are capable of doing such things to animals, what are they capable of doing (or have they already done) to humans.

You might also ask that of your local butcher.

I think you will find they are rarely cannibals.

Add me to those who think this line of thinking—that execution is warranted for animal cruelty—is morally abohorent. As others have pointed out, its not excusing animal cruelty charges and Vick should have gone to jail and paid a fine (as he did) but—let’s repeat this again and again—animals are NOT HUMANS. You may love your dog but I hope to God you realize its just a dog. A dog is not a human. A dog has no soul. Dogs are nice and give you comfort—so does a warm glass of milk. I love animals and have had dogs my whole life. I would never hurt one and I spoil them just like other dog owners do. But it is not a “member of the family”. It is a dog.

I claimed that I pray he is reformed, not that he is reformed. The only person that knows if he is or not is him. I’m not qualified to judge what is in a man’s heart. Now, if he does it again I can call him a liar.

Ever thought about how many tens of thousands of creatures are killed and maimed for every cup of green tea you drink? There is not one tablespoon of any food product whatsoever that doesn't come at that cost. Nothing.

Slaughtering animals for food is in no way comparable to needless neglect and intentional torture inflicted on animals out of stupidity, greed or pleasure.

“Completely disagree...man has dominion over the lower created order...”

Amen, Amen, Amen

Man and animals are not on the same level!

Just curious, in the scheme of things which level would you consider yours? To the truly aware you present yourself to be the lowest of the low.

Are you comparing my local butcher to an animal torturer? Are you a PETA member? You know that some sociopaths start with animals, right?

Greed, Pleasure...is the reason we slaughter animals so we can get Rib-eye at $6.99/lb

While it is quite true that man *does* have dominion over animals, anyone who can’t discern the difference between “humane” and “inhumane” is, in my opinion, a risk to society.

Compare the tendencies of violent felons and in their violent history you are likely to find animal abuse. Once someone reveals a proclivity towards animal *abuse*, I don’t see how they can ever be trusted again - and I won’t trust them. You can roll the dice with them if you like.

I am NOT referring to humane processing of livestock. I am referring to the inhumane handling of livestock; the likes of Vick who would use cats or smaller dogs to bait their fighting dogs; a kid who likes to torture pets, etc.

I consider them violent time-bombs just ticking away.

Opinions may vary.

If you think you can survive without eating anything then you have a point. As I said; the same applies to every single thing you eat as it does to your Rib Eye steak example. No exceptions.

I’ll disagree too. The Bible gives death penalty for deliberate murder, forcible kidnapping, and forcible rape.

Of people.

If God does not give a death penalty, I would not advocate for one.

Hell, they don’t even execute people that kill humans, for Christ’s sake...

I think that dogs that are unfit or vicious biters should be slaughtered and used as . . . dog meat! Dog gone it, there are people around the world who have savored the chewy taste of dog that is a lot like lamb.

“Man and animals are not on the same level!”

Can’t be said often enough, evidently.

This is an issue on which right and left seemingly can agree to be equally stupid. I read somewhere the other day, from a big right winger (sorry, don’t remember who) that Vick had “murdered” dogs.

Now, I think it would be possible to “murder” a dog, but I think it’s most likely that Vick only KILLED dogs. And while that is deplorable it isn’t murder. And even if one did in fact, “murder” a dog it still wouldn’t be murder.

This is a very slippery slope and we should stay far away from its edge.

A pig is not a dog is not a boy.

Hog Wash. And I am not for cruelty to animals either. So what happens when one human is cruel to another. Do we execute them too? Life is full of injustices. The penalties have to make sense. If you execute someone for being cruel then what do you do to them when they murder someone? This is just nonsense from over emotional people who are incapable of looking at the big picture.

Hey Walt! Your lack of proportional logic strikes me as of less gravitas than something Gracie Allen might have said to George Burns in one of their thrilling radio schticks of yesteryear. Torturers of animals should be be executed; but abortion butchers are to be protected, even celebrated as great personages? I have no respect for the former; but I also take great comfort in the knowledge that the latter face the hottest regions of hell when they slip this mortal plane.

“What kind of person would want to brutally torture to death such embodiments of goodness?” Your question would have made orders of magnitude more sense if you’d had a photo of an infant child there instead of the dog! Why don’t you picket Chinatown in most big cities, where they EAT dogs? And what about horses? Horses are slaughtered and eaten all over the place!

Not to mention the fact that DOG FIGHTING is a way of life all over the South. Illegal.......but still widespread.
