It's not a slippery slope. It's a fascist freight train that soft hearts-and-heads will never see coming until it is too late. Absolutely correct. I'm afraid this is a side-effect of urbanization.

I’m willing to concede that point, but I must point out that torture is a word that has been flung around rather loosely lately.
However, the punishment for torturing dogs is still prison, not execution.
