What are the odds of avoiding Armageddon?
04/01/2011 | WesternCulture

Like said, we Westerners don't particurlarly need Russia, China and Iran.

Nice, moderate, Muslims we feel sorry for.

Sometimes in life though, re-arrangements of personal strategy in life is called for.

The devolopment of Humanity is complicated stuff. On all accounts, don't ask the sons of RAF veterans who've dropped bombs right through living rooms in Dresden and other parts of Germany for mercy.

No need for more words.

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war. - Ann Coulter

If there really is an Armageddon, then I doubt it can be avoided.

Does she mean the countries they are from, the countries they are operating out of, or the countries thay happen to be in at any specific moment?

Armageddon?

The new Toyota SUV?

Why, avoid it by looking both ways before crossing the street, of course!

Don't include me in that "we". The sooner we get on with it, the sooner we are rid of the whole damned bunch.

An exciting space movie with Bruce Willis and Ben Afleck, and a cast of thousands of asteroids.

Liv Tyle was cute.

Oh, that Armeggedon. Sorry.

I think at best it’s a little worse than 1 in 3 chance of avoiding armageddon by death (assuming your left behind at the rapture).

Revelations speaks about one of the bowl judgments which will wipe out 1/3 of the earth’s population... but many others will die during the tribulation period from 6 other judgments before armageddon occurs.... so my guess is 7:1 odds against surviving to the end.

The armies assembled in the valley of Megiddo will have no survivors. Make your vacation plans for somewhere else during that time.

I guess she means to treat them just like we did the Nazis ... and the Japanese ... kill ‘em where you find ‘em. We killed them all over the world, not just Germany. Doncha think?

What about the local populations? In those examples, we were at war with countries, people that wore uniforms designating their side in the conflict, they were officially sanctioned by their govt. It’s not the same with Muslim terrorists, is it? They don’t even have a country.

I would say that, like today, we were at war with an ideology that was spread across the globe. I don’t understand your point. Are you suggesting we are NOT at war?

Not the same kind as before. More of a global policing in my view. We mostly respond, like the police do. We aren’t taking much of an offensive, like in a real war.

More’s the pity. It’s a war. We are bringing a knife to a gunfight. And, I beg to differ, it’s EXACTLY as it has always been. Seeking out the enemy is not impossible. Unless you are fighting a police action and he is at war. Then ... you lose.

I disagree. In my opinion, we are not fighting this as previous wars.
