Former CIA analyst says George Clooney, Angelina Jolie aiding and abetting Osama bin Laden. This Sunday, there will be an election in the region of Sudan known as Darfur. The outcome of this election is supposed to result in the region of Darfur actually splitting up into two parts: a region for Christians in the south of the Sudan and a remaining region that will stay in the west of the Sudan. Further, the part of Darfur that will shift to the south will become a new, Christian country. Celebrities hungry for the spotlight and publicity—George Clooney and Angelina Jolie are two notorious ones who come to mind—have been calling attention to this upcoming development for weeks. However, a CIA analyst who knows bin Laden better than anyone is saying that Clooney and Jolie’s push to split up Darfur is playing right into bin Laden’s plan.

The idea that this independence for Darfur is playing into Osama’s hands by Scheuer is really tainted with a false political position. Under Sudan’s Muslim rule the Christians and blacks in that country have suffered enormously. There was no way that there could be justice under that government. This is another clear sign we are in a worldwide struggle with Islam. Clooney and Jolie should not be faulted for their clearly humanitarian concerns for the downtrodden in Darfur. If the election goes for independence that would be a great blessing. The argument by Scheuer basically was that the camel should continue to bury his head in the sand and get kicked in the rump. The oil production in the region would go to the new country and that could help them maintain themselves. We are going to continue to have to do things that anger the radical Muslims and that has to be for the alternative is dhimmitude.
On an O’Reilly Factor appearance last night, Scheuer made the point that the upcoming election this Sunday that will split up Darfur will result in all the oil resources of that area going to the new, Christian country.
He further explained that when that happens, it will in effect confirm what anti-American propaganda bin Laden has been spewing for years, which is that whenever the US or the West interferes in a Muslim land, it’s usually to rob them of land and oil-rich resources.
The author believes that by supporting this election (that seems to benefit Christians over Muslims) George Clooney and Angelina Jolie are aiding and abetting Osama bin Laden.
That's quite a stretch.
And George W. Bush aided and abetted bin Laden, then, as well, as he was the international leader who pushed the hardest for a resolution in Darfur.
This is a truly idiotic claim. Liberals back all kinds of crazy, stupid causes but this ain't one of them. Clooney and Jolie are on the right side of history here, and this author must have figured out that outlandish claims get you face time on cable TV vanity shows.
