Random Thought on Ron Paul Winning The CPAC Straw Poll

He kind of won by a lot too!

Where does this tiny but mightily vocal minority come from?!? Maybe you should go to work for Mr. Pibb. People will still prefer Dr. Pepper, but at least they'll know they have an option they'll never want.

Donald Trump isn't exactly my first, or millionth, choice for president, but he's smart enough to know what the rest of the country knows....Ron Paul ain't going be president!

Sorry if this upsets Paul supporters, but I'm pretty sure that in 2008 I got more votes than he did. You just don't know when to fold 'em do you?

But hey, congrats on winning a straw poll. That, Obama's hope and a nickel get you something just north of 5 cents.

On the bright side I guess its better than the pole strippers get (yes, I know theirs is spelled differently, just go with it).

Ron Paul was re elected to the U S Congress in 2008. That took a whole lot more than the votes you got from family and friends in the CPAC. Or maybe not? You are?

Please stop. Ron Paul as a presidential candidate would be the biggest disaster in the history of politics in America.

Fortunately he will never be the nominee and we will never suffer the pain which he would inflict on the Republican Party.

"Ron Paul as a presidential candidate would be the biggest disaster in the history of politics in America."

It is a scientific fact that John McCain was the biggest disaster in the history of politics in America - a disaster for America which will be eclipsed by an order of magnitude should Romney ever become a presidential candidate.

Romney has been a presidential candidate so maybe it should be if he ever becomes a nominee? Otherwise agree that McCain was disasterous and Romney probably would be as well. I don’t think Palin could do it either, although I like her. C’mon Repubbies, you’ve got to find the right one.

My take is that both Paul and Romney know how the game is played at CPAC. The key is how many people can you pay to attend. The straw poll means nothing. The bad part is that the media keeps using it to play up Paul and Romney as the only candidates the Republicans have.

“I Googggllleeeddd you. You compare folks who watch Glen Beck ( not me btw) to NAZIS.”

I assuming you’re talking to me (since you replied to yourself...and yet talk to me like I’m the Freeper rookie)

That was a recent post to my blog, and I most definitely DO NOT compare anyone to Nazi’s in that post, least of all Glenn Beck fans (since I am one).

You are either lying or have poor comprehension skills.

Who cares?

It is a meaningless poll. He won it last time too.

DeMint.

Drag his fanny out of his comfy hill chair and make him be president. Tell him he did something wrong, like that black guy in "Cannery Row" who was cursed by a palm reader to be president.

The statesman who hates power and doesn't want it is the one I want in the top job.
