THE INSANITY OF THE INCOME TAX “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.” (The Declaration of Independence)

Obama’s proposed IRS budget for 2011 is 13.3 BILLION – a 1.1 BILLION hike over 2010 -- and calls for adding 5,100 new agents to the over 100,000 currently on the payroll. Notice I didn’t say “working there.”

This is the crack agency that just last year sent out checks totaling 39 million bucks based on phony documents filed by PRISON INMATES! God only knows how many MORE millions have been sent to crooks on the outside over the years – and, because He’s now required to file, He’s lying low and not talking. But, of course, the IRS employees’ union LOVES when that happens as the occasional pursuit of these miscreants means added JOB SECURITY.

This is the agency that has for years employed a technique they call “Dialing for Dollars.” Here’s how it works: Any agent behind in his/her “collections QUOTAS” (which we’ve been assured by IRS do NOT exist) rummages through their “inventory” (their quaint name for taxpayers in their grasp – er – jurisdiction) for lower middle income individuals with foreign or Hispanic surnames. The agent then phones these individuals, advising them that errors in their returns indicated that they STILL owed the IRS money. The amounts were kept at or under $500.00 on the basis that it would cost the taxpayer considerably more in funds and/or time away from a low to moderate income job to contest it.

In 9 cases out of 10, the taxpayer meekly sent a check just as the “massa” in Washington has conditioned us to do.

A number of years ago I attended interviews with two female IRS whistleblowers conducted by an internationally recognized investigative journalist and, in addition to the Dialing for Dollars ploy, they made serious allegations of MAJOR sexual harassment by male superiors – who were routinely PROMOTED to higher positions and/or transferred in order to display their genitals to NEW female subordinates. There are apparently some really kinky folks running the place.

At a higher level, the political elites LOVE the IRS and the code they’ve all cobbled together over the years since 1913. It allows the “progressives” among them to social engineer and manipulate us into some goofy utopian heaven-on-earth run by – trumpet fanfare here – the POLITICAL ELITES. It also allows the alleged “conservatives” among them to reward their pals and punish their enemies. At the beginning of each session of congress, the K Street rent seekers move up to Gucci Gulch carrying bags of “campaign contributions” for the more – ahhh – “receptive” members. (Given that re-election is the name of the game up there, nearly ALL of them are “receptive.” It’s how we wound up with a tax code NOBODY UNDERSTANDS.)

The insane income tax is NOT about raising revenue for the legitimate and Constitutional functions of government: IT’S ABOUT POWER AND CONTROL!

(An aside for my fellow “money issue” friends: I will not attempt to deal with that matter here. It would just confuse things among those who still cannot grasp the less complex – but more vital – subject of FREEDOM!)

Are complaints/concerns about such an onerous and insane system new? Not at all.

Abraham Lincoln. The quote comes from "Campaign Circular from Whig Committee" written on March 4, 1843. It was co-authored by Lincoln and can be found in volume 1 of the Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln, page 309.

"The sluggard, the thriftless, the inheritor of property who is wasting his fortune in riotous living and in debauchery, under your income tax pays nothing...but the thrifty, the men who accumulate fortunes and serve their country and serve their generation by furnishing work for those they employ, they are obliged to pay a penalty, and in proportion to the services to their country, directly into the pockets of their reprobate neighbors...When you study it carefully, you will find no warrant for it upon the principles of sound economics." Rep. Joseph H. Walker (R MA) during the House debate surrounding the income tax of 1894.

Let’s cut to the chase.

The FAIR TAX would eliminate the IRS, save the 13.3 BILLION now being wasted there, eliminate the legendary IRS abuses of citizens and even its own people, bring the underground economy – which the rest of us now subsidize – into the system and make April 15th just another beautiful Spring day. There are many more benefits to the FAIR TAX but some of you are probably already glazing over.

The Fair tax is the best alternative but its proceeds should be given to the states it was generated in and states should create the federal budget through elected reps with the sole purpose of undermining the federal governments ability to create funding for itself, it should be at the end of the leash of the states, and only given specific duties which the states could regulate...Kill the Beast...
