Twitter users call for assassination of Gov. Scott Walker

A video posted at The Blaze shows - once again - what passes for civil discourse among progressives, especially on the social networking site Twitter.

'lauren_2121' wrote "i hope scott walker dies. someone please shoot him?!"

'McGee12' tweeted "Everyone say it with SCOTT WALKER MUST DIE"

User 'jritsynme' wrote "He is the devil and deserves 2 be shot!!!"

Many more similar messages are shown in the 1.5 minute video.

One of the most disturbing is a tweet by user 'J_Shack' who wrote "Scott walker cut food stamps its over he gettin assassinated..!"

After the Tucson shootings that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords fighting for her life, users on Twitter sent similar messages wishing for the death of Sarah Palin.

Very little coverage was given to this by the mainstream media, who was busy trying to blame the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, clip art and conservative speech for the tragic shootings.

I think so, but these people are just “wishing” someone else would do it. That’s probably ok.

It is becoming very clear, that in addition to the phrase that “Islam is the religion of peace....” we must add that “democrats and liberals are the the ones with compassion and politeness for all...”

Once upon a time, there was civil discourse in this country.

The most ironic thing in the whole union frenzy is that the unions are trying to stop states from reforming pensions, yet in WA DC, quietly behind closed doors members of congress are trying to come up with State bankruptcy statutes that is principally designed to allow States to walk away from public employee pensions.

Union leaders can't be that dumb..... So what is really going on here, there must be more than meets the eye in terms of the union organizing of protests and the Obahma political machine & DNC helping with the multi-state protests.

Something must be afoot that isn't being discussed.

Looks like Daddy Bush and Ole Bubba got their work cut out for them at their new Civil Discourse Institute.

No one on the left appears to be interested.

Everyone, if you have time, put the radio station up on a new tab & listen. Unbelievable what that station is telling, that the MSM is NOT!

Civil discourse, as practiced by liberals.

Theoretically, who could prosecute such calls for assassination of the governor? State AG? DOJ? Would there be a specific law applied regarding calls for assassination?

The author needs to correct his article. “J_Shack” didn’t tweet that message. He retweeted the message by Simply_Missy90 (Melissa Rabon).

You may be right but I haven’t met them yet. Now I didn’t mean Democrat in the old sense of the word, I meant Democrat in the liberal/socialist/communist sense of the word - just to clarify myself.

"Theoretically, who could prosecute such calls for assassination of the governor? State AG? DOJ? Would there be a specific law applied regarding calls for assassination?"

If you threaten anyone, not just a governor, and that threat is delivered via an interstate communication network - like the internet - then you have possibly violated a number of federal statutes, 18 USC § 875(c) for example. Everyday, DoJ prosecutes people using these statutes.

Sarah Palin can’t put “targets” on elections she wanted her side to win, but leftists can call for assassinations. If somebody dies in WI (no matter what the cause, it was incited by this rhetoric!), I hope Obama has the t-shirts ready for an anti-union rally there.

Silly conservative! Only the Left believe they have a right to violence. We’re supposed to take it, not dish it out. I’ve got bad news for them.

Obama fault.

He is the most divisive and hate filled presidency this nation has yet had.

Americans that oppose Obama are enemies, said Obama.

“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,
