Asking for prayers for my friend, Tommy, in the ICU, regional hospital, Jackson, TN. He's suffering from complications of recent surgery. He's in the last stage of COPD, breathing through a tube. I visited him Saturday. His wife, a nurse, is not hopeful today, but like Tommy, at peace with God's will. I'm leaving for Jackson, shortly. Tommy is a Marine veteran of Vietnam and a Masters level clinical psychologist who worked in mental health and addictions treatment. His life has been dedicated to others. Two years ago he and I were baptized in the Tennessee River by a Pentecostal clergyman while the small congregation sang from the bank. It was a pivotal event in my life.
Thank You and God Bless You All.
Brad

Merciful Father, I pray for an ease in Tommy's breathing, that he and his family and loved ones might enjoy many more days together. Take from him the complications of surgery, O Lord, for Your Word teaches that “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:26
Father, how grateful we are that Tommy has a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Fill his earthly days with the wonder of Your love and Your assurance that absent from the body is in Your Presence forevermore. Amen and Amen ...
