“I would be honored to have her as my Commander in Chief” (WOW! Bobby, US ARMY ret on Palin)

Jonathan Martin stirred up a hornet’s nest with his regular hit piece on Sarah Palin. But an answer from the heart came from “Bobby, US ARMY ret” in the comments section at The Right Scoop:

"She is “divisive” because the conservative movement is full of cowards who bend over because they are afraid of the left and the media. Why not fight against the smears? Why not fight for the truth? Instead conservatives run and hide and then wonder why even after 8 years of BUSH the country moved to the left!!!!!!!

While Governor, her state was one of 2 out of 50 that created net jobs. I COULD WRITE FOR HOURS ABOUT HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS, but it would not do a damn thing for people like Krauthammer and other fraud cowardly so called conservatives. How come the other intellectual governors that Krauthammer praises could not eke out some job gains? Odd huh?

WAKE UP!!!! Do you want to know why the jobs are gone? Do you want to to know why your nation is turning into a S*** hole? IT IS BECAUSE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. We let it happen. WE CONSERVATIVES LET IT HAPPEN BECAUSE WE SAT ON OUR F****** ASSES AND REFUSED TO FIGHT the left for the last 20+ years.

Now Sarah is ready to fight, and most of us just let her go out there with no backup, no nothing. She is used as a human shield for LESSER MEN. She is fighting multibillion dollar left wing media companies and two hack political parties every F****** day of her life, and we cannot even muster a defense with the exception of a few websites and the OCCASIONAL defense on talk radio. PATHETIC.

I served in Korea and Vietnam in combat. When I say combat, I mean COMBAT. After that, I worked for the government “unofficially” (use your imagination.) I killed with my bare hands for this country and it makes me sick that even most of my fellow conservatives will not lift a finger to help her. If I was younger and still serving I would be honored to have her as my commander in chief. You can keep the phony tough guy men that get trotted out as candidates. I saw REAL leadership up close and I know what it looks like. Sarah Palin has “IT.”

I saw men blown to pieces and other men who still ran forward with the entrails of their best friends still on them. My oh my, how far we have fallen. Those boys had integrity and valor. Today’s conservative movement by and large is not fit to shine their F****** shoes.”

The state of our conservative movement today sickens me. It is full of frauds and cowards. We cower in fear because the media is too mean and unfair to Sarah Palin, so we should just throw her over the f****** side because ITS TOO HARD to fight back. AWWWW, poor babies. It would be so much easier to just nominate another fraud republican who can sell us down the river for a few pieces of silver as the country continues to move left as we descend into European Socialism.

As far as coward Charles Krauthammer goes….The day I take advice on conservatism from a guy who worked for Mondale and Carter is the day I put a loaded .357 in my mouth and pull the f****** trigger! That clear enough or should I use more big words to be on the same “intellectual stage” as the media elites?

These cowards remind of the guys in battle who said “we can’t win,” and then NEVER LIFTED A FINGER TO HELP US when the battle began. Well yeah no thanks to you! Please commence the flogging of me. Call me every name in the book. When you have been through what I have, there is nothing anyone can ever do to harm me. I pray you young people wake up because the cold hard truth is that you have more than likely already lost your nation to a secular decline that is irreversible. There is a chance for you to save it, but from the looks of it, you don’t have the mental fortitude to make it happen.

Cut all the bulls*it and ask yourself this honest question. DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS NATION WILL BE SAVED AND PUT BACK ON THE COURSE OF TRUTH, JUSTICE, and OPPORTUNITY by electing the same tired old political hacks that our media betters APPROVE OF? DO YOU REALLY?

How has that worked out for you these past 20 years or so? More debt, more joblessness, more danger. WOW SIGN ME UP! SIGH. But yeah, let’s not even fight for a true conservative. It’s too hard.

Bruce, if we don’t get the Krauthammers and Noonans at the end of the day over the Punk, we have more slimeballs in America than even I have suspected. Moderates don’t exactly have 50% of the electorate either. What Palin has is the courage to fight for her positions, unlike the Boehners and Lugars of this world. Bob

True. But they do have enough to throw the election either way.

What Palin has is the courage to fight for her positions, unlike the Boehners and Lugars of this world. Bob

Well, let's see if she runs first. Lugar's a weasel. I'll wait on Boehner. As best as I can tell, there are some disagreements in terms of best tactics/strategy to get the result we want, and those are the type of honest disagreements with which I can live, at least for a little while.

What is amazing to me is that poll after poll shows that there are fewer liberals than conservatives, yet they've managed to drag this country in their general direction for decades now. The only conclusion I can draw is that they've been fighting smarter than we have. They compromise, and back off when they must, but they never go in the opposite direction.

In my mind, we need a candidate who knows when to push in one place, and when to push in the other, because I think focused attacks, the "mass" principle of warfare, is more likely to succeed than attacks on a broad front. Divide and conquer, as it were. My concern with Palin is that tactically, she's more of a "hey diddle diddle, straight up the middle" tactician, and we used to tell our students that generally should be the approach only when nothing else is possible.

But whomever it is, Palin or someone else, it has to be someone who never gives up ground already won.

Bobby, you said it better than I could ever say it.

You just obliterated any and all criticism of Palin by people who claim to be conservatives.

From the original article that Bobby commented on...

“This year, the conservative intelligentsia doesn’t just tend to dislike Palin — many fear that her rise would represent the triumph of an intellectually empty brand of populism and the death of ideas as an engine of the right.

“This is a problem for the movement,” said [George F. Will, the elder statesman of conservative columnists] about what Palin represents. “For conservatism, because it is a creedal movement, this is a disease to which it is susceptible.”

I can see why Bobby wrote what he did!!!

From Wikipedia:

Populism: ... It is defined by the Cambridge dictionary as “political ideas and activities that are intended to represent ordinary people’s needs and wishes”.[8] It can be understood as any political discourse that appeals to the general mass of the population, to the “people” as such, regardless of class distinctions and political partisanship—”a folksy appeal to the ‘average guy’ or some allegedly general will”.[9] This is in opposition to statism, which holds that a small group of professional politicians know better than the people and should make decisions on behalf of them.

So I take it that the criticism of Sarah from the right, in their own highly esteemed opinions (barf), is because conservatism is a “creedal” movement and should have only highly educated (read “elite”) representatives so their ideas don’t die?

I didn’t watch Rush’s commentary from the original article, but I couldn’t help but think they forget the part that you have to LIVE the ideas—the creed—not just talk about them. You have to STAND UP and DEFEND those ideas (thank Bobby for his service!!!) rather than roll over and wet on yourself when a conflict comes. You don’t have to be an “intellectual” to understand what our founding fathers meant and what they did (even the average farmer of their day understood). Even no-college-degree me understands that the founding fathers didn’t mean for government to be the solution to our problems. It’s also obvious they structured our republic so that the average American could and should be able to serve in government. All the public needs to expect is integrity, strength, common sense and citizenship. (With some humility...) Personally, I’d rather have Sarah leading our country than some elitists with their shining ideas but no fruit on their trees.

Mostly, we’re on the same page, Bruce. But I’m already thoroughly disgusted with the Speaker. He’s weak. Best, Bob

The question is whether conservatives want emotional gratification or political victory on the critical issues facing this country. Rants may make us feel good, but the reality is that they alienate some voters who otherwise might be persuadable.

BULL!!!! You advocate the problem that got us here -- SPINELESS leadership from the rear premised upon what others think...

How will you determine how to offend the least amount -polling? Is truth based upon majority rule?

Get a clue!

So, George Will, b/c conservatives are “creedal”, we are given to support candidates who offer “empty intellectualism? That is simply goofy, George, and you’re too smart to believe your own pabulum here. Bob

Bingo! If a few people are so weak that they will walk away from voting for our side because of a few rants that tells it like it is.....then we don’t need them and they are not principle people to begin with

It is easy as falling off a wet log in the water. These “conservative” men that hate Palin are not Conservatives, nor are they men except in the genital concept of the word. They are metrosexuls who feel at home with the concept of feminized males.

Exactly where did I advocate that? I'm talking about tone, not substance.

How will you determine how to offend the least amount -polling? Is truth based upon majority rule?

I won't have to given that I've never advocated that. That would be the worst approach to take, because you can't accomplish anything of significance without offending a lot of people. It elevates winning elections over meaningful accomplishment. Reagan ticked off a lot of people, but he didn't do it unnecessarily. The point is to not offend more people than is necessary to accomplish your goal. In other words, offense is find. Gratuitious>/i> offense that simply makes you feel good but loses votes you might otherwise have gotten is not.

Get a clue!

Well, since we're now offering advice, here's mine: Try thinking with your head, not your emotions. Example: capitalizing words and adding multiple exclamation points doesn't make your argument any more persuasive. It just makes you look like a hothead.

'I saw REAL leadership up close and I know what it looks like. Sarah Palin has “IT.”'

That, I believe is what a lot of people DON'T see, or refuse to see....that "IT" factor.

All great leaders have "IT" and that is why most of us support Sarah. We see "IT" in her....she has "IT". I can't think of anyone else in the "probable" field that has "IT".

These so called "conservative" men whom stand against her, I believe, feel their "manlyhood" has been stripped from a female... w/ 5 kids no less. Has been able to accomplish much more in her young life than ANY of them have accomplished in their old ones.

Like many here have said....."I would crawl through broken glass to vote for her". I second that motion. Heck, it may even come to that!

Hey, I generally don't offer unsolicited advice, but since you offered me some, I thought I'd reciprocate. And feel free to be as emotional as you want. It's a free country, right? I simply offered the opinion that it is unlikely to be persuasive to someone who doesn't already agree with you.

To me, political accomplishments matter more than emotionally satisfying rhetoric. I want whomever wins the GOP nomination to be both conservative and someone who can build the legislative coalitions necessary to turn those conservative principles into law. It may not sound as titillating as calling Obama a Kenyan Usurper, but it does a lot more for the country.

electing someone who will enact RINO policies is no better than losing.

Actually, electing someone who will enact Democrat policies, which is what RINO's do, is WORSE than losing. The right still has to take the heat for the spending increases and deficits that are the result of more "social bankies", they then move MORE left to try and assuage the Commies further.

Emotional gratification got us here to begin with. That is, being "popular" with the elite, doing everything they can so the "elite" will like them and say nice things about them.....before they plunge the knife in their back.

Screw the big tent. We don't want or need it. We need to get America back on track and sorry if it hurts your feelings, but tough sh$t. Actually, I'm not sorry.

I am sure that ()bama is going to win the election of 2012, it is ordained I fear. If the U.S. is still free in 2016, THAT is when Sarah will rise. I think that she is not going for it in 2012, because first she wants to finish raising her family, take care of financials, and build credentials. It is like Churchhill in the late 1930’s. He was absolutely hated, but he was correct on all counts. When the time is right, the right person will rise. Maybe the next election, but God will send someone to lead us......I pray.

"but God will send someone to lead us......I pray."

I do believe He has.....and her name is Sarah. There is NO WAY in heck our country can survive another term with the usurper as POTUS. Look at the destruction he has already caused. Could you imagine another 5+ years?

From what I've read Sarah's family wants her to run...and she has been praying for guidance as to what she needs to do (I believe the election of 11/10 was a HUGE part of that).

He knows the evil that is barry. I think it is US whom He is waiting for. A line has been drawn. It's up to us to decide which side of the line we choose.

Remember, this is OUR fault....hence the "sleeping giant". We should NOT have been asleep, or at least not for as long as we did.

But I do have faith. Look at what we, the Tea Party, have been able to accomplish in less than 2 years.

For me it's Sarah 2012 or were screwed and will never come back.
