Last Saturday night, Barack Obama spoke to the Gridiron Club in Washington.
In case you don't know, the Gridiron Club is an exclusive, invitation-only group of Washington "journalists." Every year the group hobnobs with the public officials they are supposed to be covering in a private dinner, usually including the president or, as in the case last Saturday, the current occupant of the White House.
From the filtered reports of the event, it was just about what you would expect.
Barack Obama cut off the playing of "Hail to the Chief" by the U.S. Marine Band as he was introduced and asked: "Can we go with that song we talked about?"
With that, the band broke into Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA."
"Some things just bear repeating," Obama cracked.
Har-har-hardy-har-har.
He can repeat it all he wants. And, for all we know, it may even be true that Obama was born in the USA. But a more effective way to make the point, now that he is aware of the fact that most Americans don't believe his birth narrative or much of anything else he says, would be to release his birth certificate.
Somehow, I think there's a reason he refuses to do so.
What could that reason be?
Is it that his long-form birth certificate, the one needed to get a passport, sign up for Little League baseball or get a driver's license in many states, was long ago amended to show he was adopted by an Indonesian stepfather?
Is it that his long-form birth certificate would reveal his parents weren't who he claims?
Is it that his long-form birth certificate shows he was born somewhere besides Hawaii?
Is it that his long-form birth certificate shows he was born in some other country?

Gridiron Club event was usually about making jokes of yourself, but last year Obama was making fun of others and not himself. Is he doing the same thing again?
People should start asking him about his fake SSN. This is the fire. He is a fraud and an imposter and as he keeps getting away with all of the fraud, he and his minions are laughing.
Obama spends millions of dollars to keep his long form birth certificate hidden.
Ain’t that the truth!
Barry must be thrilled. Time for some hoops. Time for some ice cream. Time for a swim. Up yours America.
There's so much to hammer on here with this administration.
Time to step up Republicans!
Think I will start carrying a copy of my birth certificate (the one with the seal that lists my parents and the Dr who delivered me- at home) to show every time I’m asked for ID. Shame in every elected person or Judge who isn’t demanding to see Obama’s birth certificate. I continue to believe they have been bought. Show the seal Obama, show the seal!
Of course he’s laughing.
Keep us focused on the birth certificate when his own biography points to the fact that he’s not a “natural born citizen” and is ineligible to be President because his father was not a citizen.
Here’s the reason:
Momma was a Jackal and Dadda was Satan’s retarded cousin
Good, hussein obama does not deserve "Hail to the Chief" in any way. The real question is, how does the Marine band de-contaminate their instruments after playing for him?
hussein obama - what are you hiding? Where there's smoke, there's generally fire. hussein, your youth is hidden under a bigger cloud than a shaken and swamped Japanese reactor...
He cut off Hail to the Chief????
and the Marine Band went along with the mockery of concerns about obamas constitutional right to be president??
Hail to the Thief - of honor and reverence for the office he holds, rightly or wrongly
Sarah and Todd Palin were there too. Extemely disappointing. I am starting to kinda sour on Sarah.
Essentially the USMC band HAS to go along with it. He’s the (pretender) C-i-C, and his directions can be considered orders.
Do you have a link? I watch Palin news like a hawk and I’ve seen absolutely nothing about them attending that, and I think taht’d be really big news if they did...
He’s not only laughing at us, he’s farting in our general direction!
