I’m Not a Perfect Person, I Strive Not To Feel This Way…BUT…

By …I feel not one iota of sympathy for the ruler of Libya or its inhabitants. I actually, and God will not look kindly on me for this, feel a sense of pleasure, a peaceful acceptance that all is well in the world when Libya can be torn to shreds in full view of us all.

If there is any country in the world more deserving of it and its inhabitants being struck by, and destroyed by, violence and bloodshed, I can’t think of it.

If there is one person with a cogent argument as to why anyone should think it important to intercede in the glorious destruction and death raining down on Libya, I have not heard them, and, truthfully, I would not listen.

The thought of American soldiers or the soldiers of any free peoples, putting themselves in harm’s way to aid these savages is anathema to me.

You see, I remember: I remember Leon Klinghoffer and his death aboard the Achille Lauro.

I remember Abu Abbas.

I remember the hero’s welcome afforded Abu Nidal and his fellow terrorist killers.

I remember the airports in Rome and Vienna.

I remember the La Belle Disco.

I remember all the terrorist activities this deranged ruler “Col.” Gaddafi has brought forth upon the world, temporarily stopped when Reagan sent him a guided gift from America, only to have it arrive slightly late. I remember them dancing in the streets on 9/11.

I remember how they danced and celebrated when the terrorist Lockerbie bomber returned home, freed through a corrupt oil deal, with our Liar-In-Chief, Obama’s, permission.

Obama went before the cameras and bemoaned the release, condemned the release, claimed we knew nothing about it, in a performance worthy of a SAG actor’s union card...

Very enjoyable read. Why can’t we just let them kill each other while we sit on the sidelines eating popcorn?!

Personally, I have to believe that not all of the Libyan people are evil and deserving of destruction. There are, no doubt, many innocents who are caught up in the circumstances.

The explosion knocked out the power, plunging the passenger cabin into darkness. A Scottish Fatal Accident Inquiry, which opened on 1 October 1990, heard that, when the cockpit broke off, the fuselage was now an open cylinder. Tornado-force winds tore up the aisles slamming into the chest making it even more difficult to breathe and stripping the clothes off the passengers. Some were thrown to the rear. Other people and objects not fixed down were blown out of the aircraft into the night at temperatures of −46 °C (−51 °F), their 31,000-foot (9,400 m) fall through the nighttime troposphere lasting about two minutes..[15] Some passengers remained attached to the fuselage by their seat belts, crashing to earth strapped to their seats. Although the passengers would have lost consciousness through lack of oxygen, forensic examiners believe some of them might have regained consciousness as they fell toward oxygen-rich lower altitudes.

The Lockerbie Bomber returns to a hero's welcome:

I could care less about Libya. And Qaddafi will burn in hell.

I feel sympathy for the North Koreans. Putting that country back together after Kim Jong-Il and his like have finally been removed will be incredibly difficult. Half a century of brainwashing to undo.

I believe the same. I heard that some of the people were very kind to the pilots who ejected after that jet had engine trouble.

Yep, I really hated to see the 10 year war between Iraq and Iran end! Same feeling here about Libya.

Bill O was saying last night we HAD to help. BS! Only if one side was really worth saving! And its neither Col Q or the “rebels” (mudslime Brotherhood). Let them tear each other up! And let the Europeans help!

The US has used up way too much military people and assets to go off to fight yet another war. Besides the Pretender Obama wants to send more Trillions for “social justice” (legalized mugging by the feds)!

Nothing will change their blind hate for us, when this is over, no matter how it goes-they will revert to type.

Though they had so little shame or pride that they begged us for assistance, after all their abuse of America, is no reason to afford them any consideration. How “O” gave in to Sarkozy’s emotional blackmail is beyond me.

wow, I thought I was the only one who remembered poor Mr. Klinghoffer, who was thrown overboard in his wheelchair by muslim terrorisst while his wife watched, horrified. I remember the little girl killed when these terrorists attacked Rome airport, and many of the others. The world condemns Israel for DEFENDING istself, while M. terrorist slash the throats of Jewish babies, blow up Jews at weddings, pizza parlors, buses, and attack and behead teenage girls in Indonesia. I may be “old” (55+ group) but I REMEMBER!!!
(btw...55+ club: many of us in this age group do remember, being free, Reagan, etc. But the Obamacare will take care of those “who remember”)

Egypt was sort of a bust, but I continue to have great hopes for Libya. Looks like they are working up to a real civil war, and some wholesale killing.

We should only use a little bit of air power to prevent either side from btaining an advantage. The longer they kill each other, the better it is for us.

Every dead Muslim is a step forward in the March of Civilization!

In every horrific malicious murderous dictatorship or religion, there are innocent normal good people just trying to live their lives well for themselves, their community and their children.

I’ll grant you that it may be a minority of innocents in major swathes of the Muslim world.

Feel sorry for those poor suckers. They didn’t get to choose where they were born, couldn’t get out, have no access to missionaries, and aren’t smart enough to reject Islam.

For the rest, I’m with you. Let ‘em kill each other.

Right now, we in the west have a lot of freedom but are losing our moral compass thanks to decades of secular atheist elitists using leftist propaganda, political correctness indoctrination, activist judges and the like to secure their power base.

In the east, there’s no freedom and a very overdeveloped moral compass has developed thanks to decades of despots using Islamist propaganda, indoctrination, activist imams and the like to entrench themselves into unassailable positions of power in the community.

That’s why the Left and the Islamists like each other so much. Both self-styled elites know that their power base is born out of the proposition that if people have freedom AND an ordered society AND the rule of law AND a moral compass, there’s no role for them.

That is why the Left aspire to total individual freedom without any moral constraints of any kind whatsoever, while the Islamists want total order based on fundamentalist Islam, without any individual freedom of any kind whatsoever.

Most normal people just want to live in peace and raise their families and do an honest day’s work. In short, they want freedom AND they want to live in a society that respects the natural law.

But they’re not really awake yet to the fact that the likes of the liberal left, as much as the Taleban at the other end of the spectrum, will never allow them to have both.

When they wake up to this, and stand up for their own freedom AND the rule of law, as did the Founding Fathers, they will prevail. But they have to want it first, and they have to be prepared to fight for it.

How did Orwell put it?

“If there was hope, it must lie in the proles because only there, in those swarming disregarded masses, 85 percent of the population of Oceania, could the force to destroy the Party ever be generated...”

I concur, and simplify thus:

Leftists and Islamists are allies because both first require the Destruction of Western Civilization before they can implement their respective dystopias.
