I Can't Stand To Listen To Sean Hannity.
3/25/2011 | Me

Posted on 03/25/2011 2:52:34 PM PDT by Palmetto Patriot

Sean is on my side, bless his heart. But I just can't stand listening to him. Judging from his ratings, there are lots of people in this country who would disagree with me, and that's okay.

But in my mind, he's very shallow in his analysis of the day's events.

I need more than what he provides.

I'm a fan of Glenn Beck.

I know that there are lots of my fellow Freepers who dislike Glenn, and the programming that he presents, for whatever reason.

That's okay, too.

My purpose in making this post is to ask you for alternatives.

If you don't listen to Hannity, is there someone else you prefer?

If you can't stand Beck, who do you listen to?

What other hosts do you think might be worthy of our attention?

I agree with all here who say Sean repeats the same thing over and over..AND that he gives Rino’s too much of a platform and doesn’t hold them accountable...particularly NICOLE WALLACE!!

I can't stand Hannity's football and "Great, great, great..."

Well then, let not your heart be troubled. :-)

I can actually LEARN something from Beck, who has a crack research staff.

So why can't they uncover the truth about the birth certificate?

I listen to Neal Boortz, Laura Ingrham, Rush, Dennis Miller, and Mark Levin. I never have like Hannity’s style - radio or television.

Why would someone not like Beck?

Mrs GBC likes him for his "passion".
I find his "emoting" grating...
And there you have Beck in a, dare I say it, "nut shell".

I quit listening to Hannity 5 years ago. I find him very repetitive (boring), although average or even a little higher in intelligence, he seems to have little ability to process new information on the spot unless it is one of his canned statements nor the knowledge of history like Rush or Michael Savage who both have far more experience and a very creative mind.

Hannity is acquiring knowledge and experience, as he ages, though. (I do listen to snippets on the internet on rare occasions, but mostly because of whom he is is interviewing.) He has a great personality and charisma.

Knowledge is what should make people interesting and powerful. Many people just haven’t read much and have such inferior education or/and home life and experience, they just don’t understand the fundamental, philosophical questions and only see the world and events in really shallow, superficial ways. That annoys me and I have difficulty finding the patience to listen.

Haven’t ever listened to Levin.

Aye, aye, aye.... You're missing one of the finest talkers on radio. Levin is orders of magnitude better than Hannity, and in my opinion, right behind Rush in quality of communication and analysis of the day's events.

Do yourself a favor and tune in. He follows Hannity in most radio markets.

What are your alternatives?

Who are you guys tuned in to?

Where I live, the only one I can listen to after Rush (besides Sean) is Todd Schnitt.

Not great, but he’s not Hannity.

There are two guys on the overnight that I think I would prefer are Gary MacNamara and Eric Hurley on the Midnight Radio Network out of WBAP in Dallas.

Wish they were on at 3PM Eastern.

Anyone ever listen to them?

My kitty cat, Rebinegra, and I watch Tom and Jerry cartoons from 6:00 am to 6:30 am.

We both love it...and that is pretty much it.

Hannity keeps the pressure on the front line things that need to still be drilled as the MSM will let them go if they don’t favor their darling Obama....Beck, Levin, and even Rush can do the heavy trend analysis for us....Hannity is good on the tactical, the Beck/Levin/Rush group is our strategic arm.

You may have a point there. I can't see a hole in that logic.

Now, if Sean would just drop all the RINOs and GOP elitists off his rotating guest list, I might listen more often.

I quit watching & listening to Hannity when he had Karl Rove & John McCain on his show & he was drooling over what they had to say.

Sean reminds me of that small yapping dog at a party. He wants everyone to pet him and show him some lovin'...trouble is; he gets excited and pees on your shoes.

I was thinking about Beck myself and watch his program everyday because he does research and presents facts that the left can't deny. But, like you. I get upset with all the non violence crap (which I think is CYA or thew left would be all over him for inciting people to violence). I mean he depicts these people that want to over throw our government and the threat to all conservatives then acts like we should all sit around the campfire, roast marsh mellows and sing Kumbayha. I think bad times are coming and it will be very violent.

I stopped listening to Sean on his radio program because he spends more time letting libtards rant and argue with him...it’s always the same argument, same cast of characters, same callers....80% of the time.
Sean has always been, and always will be, Rush’s assistant. All he does is expand what Rush has said during the previous 3 HRS.......he hasn’t had a scoop in 5 years.

And, right now, I'm listening to Sean talk with that weasel McCain talking about the border situation. The way you hear McLame talk about it, he'd have NEVER tried that crap he did with the immigration reform bill.

McLame is DESPICABLE, and Hannity is a damned fool or just an opportunist seeking "name-brand" celebrities to tease his audience on their way home in the car. It is sickening.

Finally, to make worse, Hannity and McLame are now talking about Libya like it is something that we need to be discussing the merits of - we shouldn't be involved, period!

The “Great, Great, Great American Panel” has to be the lamest 10-15 minutes on television.

The “Fox All-Star Panel” with the same people every night is the second lamest.

"And then, there’s the fact that the man is a motor mouth, who doesn’t seem to have the capacity to rein himself in. He had Michele Bachmann on yesterday, and forced her to listen to a two minute clip he wanted her opinion on. When he finally shut up and let her talk, the segment was just about over. I don’t think she got in more than a few sentences the whole time. What a total waste of her valuable time."

That perfectly summarizes my problem about Hannity.

I can no longer listen to this guy totally waste valuable guests time while he lectures them endlessly with his opinion while leaving them no time to express theirs. The man is utterly incapable of framing a succinct, to the point question.
