Couple years before my time, but I sure remember eating there and similar places back in the sixties.  

I also recall when prices were in this vicinity, too... back when a dollar was a dollar:

One time when I was about twelve, just walking through the isles of Woolworth's with my buddy for what I don't remember... 

I found a $20 bill on the floor.

There was nobody around, so I kept it... a lot of money to a kid who mowed lawns for like $3 apiece. 

BUT, I insisted my friend take half, 'cuz he was there providing luck... then we spent it on 100+ packs of Topps baseball cards lol...

Wow...thanks for posting this. I remember going to the movies and Woolworth’s was across the street. We’d go there for a cherry coke and fries.

They were genius... not too many could shop there long without succombing to the smells, imo that’s why the counter ran down the side of the store, not separated like Target or IKEA’s, for instance... they know what they were doing for a while, but time passed them by- I think K-Mart did them in in the 70s

There was a Woolworth’s in Big Town mall in Mesquite. I spent many a happy moment at their counter as a kid.

I looked at that menu and wondered, what ever happened to ham salad? Not enough ham salad these days.

Yes, you can still get it in Ohio, Western Pa and WV.

I think it is also avail online, but not prechopped.
Its that fine fine chopped ham and BBQ that is just irresistible.

I remember being there as a kid! My town (Gillette) had a McCrory’s with a lunch counter and those greasey cheeseburger’s with fries were the best!

Thanks, that explains why the name sounds familiar to me. I get that whole “food from home” thing.

When I left my vacation in Cleveland to return to St. George, UT, I had a half-dozen or so packages of frozen Kahn’s All Beef hotdogs in my carry on luggage.

There are still a few of the old restaurants around, and I often find the ham/BBQ sauce in the local grocery’s
